Union for the Boss
When looking through the post on this site ,I notice some big diffrence between diffrent countrys view on Unions . Or the Bosses view on the Union . And a question . What Union are your Bosses in ? In Sweden many of them are in https://www.ledarna.se/ All the Bosses i have had say the same thing . “I rly dont like pp that are not in a Union ” Becuse the lack of worker laws concerning pay in sweden. Make the pp outside the Union very unpredictiable.
Missing $284.32 in wages
Nobody told me AZ minimum went up to $12.80, and I guess no one told my boss either. That $0.65 really adds up.
Quitting dilemma
I totally got myself in this position. And I knew better. But sometimes I let money get to my head. I just started a job and I already want to quit. Below is the backstory. Any advice is helpful. We are okay on money and my partner makes enough to support us and save a little bit. But I’m obsessed with being frugal and saving money. I’ve been lucky enough to stay home these past 6 months as a stay at home wife but also working on a business idea that will hopefully come to light next year. I’ve admittedly been slowing down and find myself losing momentum. So I had the idea to look for a 3-day a week job to help stack out savings and to maybe bring some motivation back to creating a business of my own. I felt like this would help for some reason. I…
So title says most of it, I have no Protected time off so if I don't go in I'll get pointed. But I already scheduled the orientation and don't want to go through the process of emailing the university asking for them to change the date…
Health concerns & Job issues
So, a few days ago I posted about how I've been looking for another job because my current employer has been acting in ways that make me question how successful I will be here. I recently asked for a raise and was denied, on the grounds that “no one makes that much in this position” and even though I've been working hard was told my work was adequate. So, I started looking elsewhere to guarantee a pay raise because with a 7% inflation rate I need a raise of at least 7%, I think that's fair. So I was denied. Since then, my boss has been acting like I'm a problem employee even though there's been no official disciplinary action. I work in an office, and when I don't have an appointment with a student or parents, I have the upper fluorescent lights turned off because they give me migraines.…
When I quit working and went on disability for anxiety, life got much better. I live in my grandparents basement, but I still have a cute wife and a dog, because I had time to work on myself and work out. Honestly, for people who can't move in with family, my advice is to quit your jobs, steal (Only if you can't get welfare or disability and not from the poor or honest small business) and make drug-free tent-cities away from the violent homeless… It's literally a better life then being treated like a sub-human just for not being taught trades from a young age or not being able to go to college. We need to cut their supply of slaves and force them to create better work environments.
How do you deal with unfairness at work?
my first job out of college, I requested vacation months in advance and would get repeatedly denied, while others were granted every request they made. When I asked my manager why, I was told it was because “everyone else has a family” (sorry, Mom and Dad, guess you aren’t family anymore), so they “had to prioritize their requests first.” This also happened with my schedule. I’d get the undesirable shifts because others “had families.” At the same company in a different role, I was told I didn’t have enough years of experience for a promotion, despite performing (according to my manager) above the level of the people who had more senior titles.
The CPUSA has been since the days of Earl Browder. I suspect that SAlt is openly controlled as well.
