I am currently working in an office with 4 other females. Small office. Main manager put in her 2 weeks, and her job was opened up to be applied for internally. I was out sick the day it was posted. It was open and available for application for 5 days before I returned. I found out about it when the current supervisor was interviewing for the position – she was hired. No one breathed a word to me that the position was open for application because everyone assumed that the supervisor would just step into the role – there are only 5 of us, everyone kind of gets how shit works. To bend the knee or to bend over..
Hi fellow redditors, I don't really have anyone who I can share this with, so here's my story: I graduated about 11 years ago and have been working ever since, I've switched jobs every 3-4 years when the work was no longer challenging and a better opportunity presented itself. My previous job lasted a bit longer than 4 years. The pay was OK and the work interesting at the time. My boss however was something else. OFFICIAL CALL TO ACTION
AMERICANS OF REDDIT: IT IS TIME TO CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES Our government is out of touch with the needs of its citizens. It is our responsibility to remind our officials who they work for. POLITICIANS WORK FOR US. No, seriously. These people are letting us get squeezed for everything we have, and they apparently have no idea how much we are struggling. I want every single one of us calling, emailing, tweeting at our congressmen, senators, mayors, anyone you can think of and I want you to tell them about your life. Tell them about the decisions you’re facing due to inflation. Tell them how shit your work experience has been. Tell them how heartbreaking it is that overdose deaths are at an all time high and climbing. Tell them how unacceptable it is that building a life for oneself is becoming impossible. How abhorrent it is that our citizens…
