Annoying manager

Just started a job two days ago. Yesterday was a bit rough. We have 2 lanes for the fast food line. I was working both lanes bc we were short staffed. I’m still learning the system and I’m a bit nervous. We have a rush from 11-2. My manager on duty kept saying “donations” as a reminder to ask, which in my opinion it’s a rush, we need to get through it. they also except me to take orders while getting drinks, I’m just doing the drinks and taking orders. Then there’s a person at the drive window that pays people out while setting up a bag and putting a napkin making sure the order is right. My coworker also told me that my manager said something about working on time but she’s not suppose to say that. Just tune her out. Idk. She’s just very annoying. It’s like she’s…

Ok I’m 13 but here’s a thought

What if company’s actually raised your pay when you worked your ass off. You raise one persons pay for working harder than what’s expected and other will want to do that. That will increase the product output and they will want to stay longer cause they were getting payed well. Just a thought,have a nice day folks

Boomer bosses husband and wife run small company

Never again. I only took this job out of desperation and pays a little better than amazon. I do 3 peoples job in the office including the hiring. Yes nobody wants to be your slave and personal assistant. Small business owners have this fake ass prestige. Nobody cares you have your own business you are not cool. They don't call their employees “employees”. They say to me “find me workers who want to work. Um how about you stop asking them to do cleaning, labour and personal stuff for you? Just because you pay them $20/h doesn't mean you can boss them around 8 hours and day and only pay them 7.5 hrs. So happy nobody is applying to work for them. Why do they have to boss people around? Want to come in 11 days in a row?

I work part time in retail, I have worked the past six days, I’m supposed to be off tomorrow, then work another 4 days. Yes, it’s part time (roughly 6hours a shift), but I’m also a mother of a five year old. I usually work 8-2 and then pick my son up from school at 230. There was a time where I was scheduled 10-2 THEN 4-8. I have medical problems that made that very hard because I’m in pain all the time and my work requires me to me on my feet the whole time. I’ve been on for six days. She just messaged me if I could work 5a-9a tomorrow. Even though I work sat, sun, mon, and tues. How can I politely tell her I won’t work 11 days in a row without sounding like an asshole?

My TL is a cry baby.

I had a really, really hard day today and I just want to rant which ironically I do too much IRL apparently. ​ My team lead keeps going to my supervisor and saying I'm complaining (which literally, on average I complain just as much as the next guy), I've been pulled in twice now for complaining too much which like wtf? I'm not going to my TL and complaining, it's just casual conversation between coworkers, general gripes and such. Apparently I took 2 min over my break and got a write up, thanks to my TL keeping track on his phone yet he stands around ALL day doing nothing, watching me and the other co-workers work and hell, my co-workers will stop working and I'll still be working with them just watching me. Oh yeah, another addition, 2 min late on break yet my TL goes to the breakroom 5-10…

Idea for tax scheme

So I had a thought of a tax scheme idea and figured I'd share, if anything to invoke thought. Basically, whatever the budget is, take that money from the richest person in the country until they would have wealth equal to the next wealthiest person. Now, take from both of them equally until they are both equal to the third richest person. Then take from all 3 equally until theu bit the 4th wealthiest. Rinse and repeat until the budget is met. I know the devil is in a lot of details, but hey whatever.
