I work for a 3rd party cleaning company. I work second shift and clean an elementary school. Well, APPARENTLY a pipe fucking burst today. The customer (aka the school district) called and told my company that we weren't supposed to go in today or tomorrow. Cool. Fine. Whatever. Extra long weekend. Ask my boss if I'm getting paid for the missed days. Nope. Because the customer called, I don't get paid. That's $84 (after tax) I don't get. I need that money. I live paycheck to paycheck. I'm fucking pissed. Fuck everything. Edit: I work part time for health reasons and plan on going back to school soon. That's why it doesn't seem like that much. But still.

At this point, we can't even blame a majority of our employers because not even they get enough money to pay us. The government and the people at the very top hold a mind blowing percent of our money and can't even be bothered to pay us enough to make enough to live. We are getting like 12 dollars an hour, for some it's less. Meanwhile rent is I think up to almost 8K per month, an all time high. We, the American people, NEED to take a stand before America is completely unlivable.

Before transferring to a new location I ran the delivery warehouse for this company for 2 years. It was the furthest location from their central office. When shit happened, there was no back up. No one local to provide assistance. Everyone was hours away. All their other locations could be reached within or around an hour. There were several incidents that happened after hours that I got called to go take care of at various hours of the night. I had to deal with my location's area supervisor who would occasionally come out and nitpick about what wasn't done around the place. I was constantly on the road covering routes and dealing with an overburdening workload due to being short-staffed and poor logistics planning by the main facility. I told him it's not possible to keep up on everything around our facility since I'm on the road all the time…
