Said that I use it as a passive aggressive excuse not to work overtime. They kept waiting till I clocked out , to tell me don't clock back in just work register for 15 mins, which would always turn into a hour or more,. They said I never provided proof I was disabled, aside from telling them prior to applying, having a seizure at work, being driven to the emergency room by a coworker, and taking my prescription pills at work, I called HR. They put me on paid leave for a week while they investigate, I was told bring proof I have a disability, I brought in a folder with all my medical history pertaining to the epilepsy, a week later they call to meet. I quit teaching last year maybe a month before the year ended. I checked with my union that I would get my summer pay from the time I worked/what I had already earned. I haven’t gotten anything, it’s way passed when I should have received it. When I call the nyc teachers union I get hung up on or told I’ll get a call back and never do. I worked for this money but I can’t file a claim as wage theft bc I was a gov worker at the time. You guys seem to know a lot about labor law lmk if I have any options!

I work 60 hrs a week at my corporate run restaurants as the gm. My store is woefully understaffed and corporate won’t let me hire past $11hr because of “tips”. Since I’ve started around two months ago my district manager has been absolutely zero help and at best has gotten me a handful of days off so I don’t work 7 days a week merely 6. I don’t wanna do this anymore our situation won’t get any better because of corporate and their ridiculous hiring policy. I can barely get people to show up to interviews let alone hired. I’m tired so very tired should I just tell all my employees not to show up tomorrow so me and my crew can have a day off? I understand this would lead to my firing probably but I’d rather be fired than resign so at least I could collect unemployment. This…

I’ve been trying to find a job that’s near me and entry level. When I finally found an Amazon job both entry and at a convenient location. They want me to go to a recruitment center an hour and a half commute away from my location before hiring me. With no chance of remote. God. Fucking. Damn it I’m not driving a fucking HOUR AND A HALF for a measly 30 fucking minute inter- why not have it at the FUCKING JOB LOCATION???? That’s only like what…30 minutes away??? Less painful than a FUCKING HOUR??? I would of had to pay a toll bridge for that shit. Fuck that! I’m sorry for wasting y’all’s time. I’m going to go scream into a pillow now.

If I am not mistaken, some countries in Europe tried this model but so far no one implemented it. However, what would you do? I would spend that extra time on developing websites and apps, as this is something I am doing as a hobby but my learning curve is slow as there is not much time besides working full time. On top of that, I would meet friends and family more often and have more quality time with my partner
