Working at Ashley Furniture
I worked as an assembly associate for almost 6 months and let me tell you it was the longest 6 months of my life. $18 an hour wasn’t horrible but with the work we had to do we should have been making $30+ an hour. Before leaving for work I would have to take Advil and after work I would have to take even more just to be able to help me sleep. Then pulling on fabric for 10 hours a day certainly takes a toll on your fingers, hands and wrists. The joints in my fingers would lock up multiple times a day as well as the skin on my fingers would peel off due to the couch material rubbing on my fingers and knuckles constantly. The turnover rate was around 2 days for new hires and I even had people I would train that would leave during lunch.…
Hi guys, Its my 4th month at my new job. And this is the first time im doing an office job related to my field. Before applying the job, I knew what the department is doing was not my interest and actually in university I hated the class related to it. But I accepted the job bc I need money and a career. However, I have never felt so bad before in my life. I have never felt like I am in a cage, this unhappy and this anxious. Think yourself that you are anxious everyday every minute. Your heart beats fast, you feel like you are going to lose your mind, you want to die, your chest in in pain and you cannot breathe. I don’t know how my mental health became this messed up. I saw a professional and started taking an antidepressant. Also I’m seeing a psychologist.…

Forced to end isolation early.
First a little back story. I contracted Covid from a funeral I attended last weekend. Tested positive on Wednesday however, my symptoms didn't start until Friday. Which by cdc guidelines resets the isolation period. I also signed a document from the county health department stating that I am to isolate until the 7th @ 11:59 pm or face civil and criminal penalties. I sent a copy of this to my boss and the owner of the company I work for. To which they replied ” we follow cdc guidelines, your isolation ends the 3rd and will have to return to work on the 4th or you won't recive covid pay. Non of this sounds legal to me. Any advice on how to handle this situation is appreciated.
