So I work for USPS. I've been there for almost 5 years without any problems I have a clean record. Early this summer one of my managers started this trauma cycle where she would give me too much work and I would say hey I'm supposed to leave in 8 hours I'm not on the overtime list this is too much for me to do to which she would respond “just take it with you” “just do it” roll her eyes and shove me off and then when I'm not able to finish what I told her I couldn't finish I then get yelled at by the closing manager. She only gave that treatment to me, but everyone else in the post office she compromises with them, giggles with them and eventually I'm like what's going on. After having a panic attack Saturday I decided I wasn't doing this anymore…

Looking for advice, I was sent a document with others salaries from different sites, I was meant to only receive mine. Will be asked soon to run a different site to which I now know are paid significantly more. Other sites are paid even more despite not much geographical discrepancy. I am going to negotiate salary if asked to move anyway but now do I; 1) wait for when I'm asked to move, likely in next month? Or start negotiating now? 2) inform them I know my salary is less than others and be specific on the amount to negotiate my salary? 3) any other advice? TLDR found out my colleague earn more at other sites, how do I approach it?

Recently the apartments above my place of work burst into flames. Everyone got out fine but several apartments were damaged and has been completely evacuated for the time being. Fortunately, the store below didn’t have any cosmetic damage but there is an awful, lingering smell of smoke and fumes from god knows what burned upstairs (it has been confirmed that one of those things was a refrigerator). It smells like a bad campfire/burning trash/plastic/chemical fumes. The building as a whole is old and not very well maintained (honestly I’ve questioned the presence of mold) but now my coworkers and I are struggling to work with the lingering smoke. Our employers have fans going with filters and are leaving the front door open to circulate air but the smell is awful. To make matters worse the owners of the building want us to not do anything to mitigate the smell so…

I’ve been reading this subreddit for some time and I’m curious, after reading some of the horror stories, why people are not quitting and looking for other work? I’ve quit plenty of jobs and told employers to go fuck themselves and what some of you all put up with is beyond me. Genuinely curious. Thank you. (50 year old male, English)

And I’m not supposed to react in ways that might be considered “radical” or “revolutionary”. I’m just supposed to sit on my hands while there is so many things that could be burned to the ground to make way for progress? Someone tell me if I’m the asshole right now. Cause I’m really starting to wanna cause some stuff. They don’t even have to create a socialist utopia. All they have to do is pay better like they did 50 years ago and maybe I’d be calm again. But fuckin seriously. Statically speaking this is absolute bullshit that it’s even legal for an American to make less then 7.25 an hour That I go to work in a shit hole to not even make a fraction of the effort I put in?
