In a morning safety/what we are doin today meeting, the main foreman on my job told us that we shouldnt be asking questions on the job site. And if we did, he would have us sent to another job. There is some backstory to this, basically the day before, the other foreman got frustrated when one of my coworkers kept asking him questions about how something needed to be done. Not everything is straight forward with what we were doin so of course there are gonna be questions. The foreman came over the radio and said that if it started raining we are to pack up and go home. It started sprinkling and sure enough we are told to go home. That foreman later got yelled at by the main foreman for sending us home and said it was because we were asking to many questions and he got frustrated…

Planet earth is a body made up of humans similar to a human body in that the human body is made up of cells. When humans are sick & have a virus they must take medicine that usually doesn't taste good in order to get well. So our partner is leaving and the company wants to throw a party. Everyone is forced to wear a mask that has the face of the partner on it. I am getting flashbacks from the movie The Dropout. It was about the toxic company Theranos and it gave me nightmares. I am so sick of this toxic and weird company culture where they do these creepy things that have no meaning. It is not harmless at all. Not the ping pong tables, not the pizza partners and certainly not 500 people wearing a creepy mask. I am not from the US and I am freightened that this culture is only starting here now while this was upcoming in the US like 10 years. I am so scared that all the toxic stuff that happened in the US, from WeWork to Theranos, still has to happen in the EU.

I’ve been struggling with a lot of hiring discrimination because I live in a bad area, below the poverty line as a transgender woman. So getting hired selling magic the gathering cards was the best possible thing that could happen to me. For context, over the last year a lot of bad shit has happened. I lost my entire family because of their bigotry, my father threatened to murder me, daily street harassment, and losing my last job when I complained about getting called slurs by customers. I make $16 an hour as a retail manager. I would love to be an EMT or something but they make less money to start with, it can be traumatizing and has poor hours, and I’d have to pay for school. What is the point? It feels like good paying jobs are becoming more and more exclusive. I don’t know what to do anymore.
