Received a generic email about 2 hours later stating “your type of ambition does not align with our company values”. Dodged a bullet there.

For example if there is just a culture of management ignoring 10 minute breaks, would that be enough to launch an L&I investigation? At least half (of just under 50) of us agree that we'd like to take our breaks but we feel pressured to not take them because we already regularly run short staffed and we don't want to leave our friends working that much harder. Occasionally someone will ask management for a 10 and it's usually given but this is the exception. Management does not proactively run breaks. Several of us have expressed our concerns to management, who always talks of doing better and then don't. Is this even illegal? What should I expect from L&I?

I then spoke to HR and explained the situation (that my brother needed an answer today) and the guy gave me a green light. I went to talk with my manager again and he said he still needed to check and that I should remind him tomorrow morning. I want to go ahead and say yes to my brother but I’m afraid my manager might find an issue. Right now this is just a job…
