Have y'all ever made secret games with coworkers to make work more entertaining and if so what were they? My coworkers and I want to fit phrases drawn from a hat into stuff meetings. We've also played “tripwire” where you must pass through an area abnormally (other than walking) Would love to know other ideas!

How to deal with this?
So my manager called me today about a schedule change. I'm okay with an upcoming shift, but on Monday- they have me staying until 10:30, when all of my management knows I'm in college and have a class the next day. What do I do in this situation? (I feel like I'm in a lose-lose situation here)? I work in retail, for reference.
40 hours is part time now??
This a blog entry I worked on I thought I would share it. Ways your job is not so different from an abusive relationship They infringe upon your free time, expecting you to at their beck and call every hour every day. 2,They ignore the well-being of employees in favor of profits. This includes purposely short staffing which leads to ever increasing work loads that leads to worker burnout which effects mental health/ By denying requests for Dr appointments they are saying that company profit is more important that employee physical health. 3.By asking employees to give more than 100% when that is not possible. You can not increase employee productivity like one does profits. The maximum a person can give is 100% By asking employees to take on tasks they were not hired for because they have purposely short staffed other departments. They do so by asking the employee…
This the post I made after leaving yesterday: I left my job today. I just wanna say the things I went off shift to purchase was toilet paper and paper towels for the restrooms we have in the building the company works out of. It was 30 dollars of a pay out. I was told that the next time supplies run out I had to make the next run. This was said by someone who is consider a supervisor under my boss’s eyes. Yes this is my boss talking to me. The same boss who gave me a promotion and then demoted me with out telling me, while expecting me to hold the same standards I had as a supervisor. I have been called stupid, blamed for things I could have never controlled, and told “You do not deserve more pay”. I have watched this man sexually harass workers. He…
So, I want to literally cry. I'm a gay man and I was in a Zoom meeting with my team focused on my desk (the ones where you stay standing up) and one other colleague came on my back and stayed close to me (I presume his joke was “how long till he notices”) and then he touched me. He's not gay or anything but it made me feel so uncomfortable that I told him “Do not touch me/Why you touching me/Never come near my body again”. My (our) manager sitting on the other side came straight up and talked to me asking me to check my tone cause the way I was speaking is not okay. Told them that the dude was touching me while I wasn't even thinking of my own body as I was focused on a meeting where he should be a part of as well…
work wants me to change schedule
So today I was approached by the person at work who is doing the scheduling. She has asked me to switch my shift because another coworker wants my shift so she can be on the same schedule as her significant other. I have a chaotic life. I have to take medication at a clinic the same time every day. Changing my schedule would have to make me find a ride another day a week to get my medicine and have to walk to work another day because we only have one car. When I work my scheduled shift I already have I can go take my boyfriend to work take my medicine and go home I'm afraid if I don't work with them and change my schedule they will be mad. I hate drama too. I'm introverted. I work hard get along with everyone. I don't know what to do.…
It's clear that workers are exhausted, jaded, and sick and tired of the hierarchy nonsense with work and the abuse of power that comes with it. But nothing's going to change if we don't do anything about it. With some colleagues, I'm working on the Workplace Psychological Safety Act. While the government polices itself through the courts, it's intended to move the needle on better work cultures short of a complete society overhaul. It's almost ready. If you want to see it or already support it based on the website, then sign the petition. And if you want to see how few rights we have as workers and do something about it, write your legislators.
Our CEO wants to screw us over more
So our CEO likes to buy random products from overseas and currently he has an over stock of a specific product. So to be “nice” he is advertising these products at a special discounted price for employees, implying he’s selling it at the same cost he spent. However, I work in supply chain so I am aware of the cost, negotiations, shipping costs, etc for this product. He’s selling it to employees with an over $200 profit. He doesn’t have to sell us this product and he doesn’t have to give us a discount, but it’s greatly frustrating that he’s trying to make his employees think they’re getting a stellar deal when instead they’re getting screwed. (The same product can be found on Amazon for the same price plus warranty and bonus features). A few of us have been discretely trying to inform our fellow coworkers, but I sadly have…
