Insubordination review
I have a really fun job with a great team and wonderful clients. However it comes with a toxic, controlling, and manipulative manager. I’ve documented all negative interactions and have lots of screenshots of his unprofessional behavior, and his boss is aware of his misconduct, as roughy 60% of my team has made complaints against him. Yesterday I respectfully set a boundary to proactively protect myself from his pattern of abuse and he has reported me for insubordination. I will be having a conduct review meeting with him next week. I have requested that HR and his supervisor be there. I have an impeccable record and am in no way concerned for my job, despite his threats to reduce my hours or relive me completely. So I work as an electric bike deliverer at a popular pizza joint. I can't slander the company, so to give you a hint it rhymes with mommy knows Lisa. Anyways, here's the list: The batteries and bikes are crap. Before you start your shift you need to test your bike without clocking in beforehand. The bikes are put on the other side of the road and the batteries are upstairs of the company, so without getting paid you walk back and forth at least twice before you find a battery and bike combo that works. I got scolded once for taking 1.5 hours to return back from a delivery. That's because the batteries are unpredictable and died on me when I was at the farthest location we deliver. Managers, supervisors, etc. who want you to show up early and stay after hours just hate their lives. They hate their lives so much that they want to drag you down to their level. Misery loves company right?
