I was a cstore manager and we was so busy every day that I couldn't get any one hired to be able to help me during the day so I could get my job done. My DM tried to help bring someone in from another store to help out but that always failed. So after we got our deliveries in I locked up drop the keys off at another store and headed home. And I was only getting paid $12usd an hour. And working 70 hours a week. Now I work for a union company and making great money now and being much happier.
Lunch invitation
I really don't want to go to lunch as a last step of the interview. I had it before and basically it's a stupid game where people tell their stories .. which I have zero interest. I told them I should get an offer first to have a lunch, they still want to have this romantic time.I don't want to have this 'work', how to pass it? Edit: Maybe I should say this: sex is the only work I prefer to have lunch before. Sounds bold and extremely stupid.
Don’t you hate the term “net worth”?
Basically the idea that you are “worth” whatever money or assets you have. As a human you basically have 0 value, your “worth” is only stuff you own. I owe like 10k in CC debt and have 139 bucks in my bank account so my net “worth” is basically negative 10k. smh
The state of corporate America
I know it's exciting to see a story about a messed up boss or a screenshot of unreasonable text, and one's gut reaction is to comment and support the OP. But people getting duped by these fake af stories and screenshots is now seriously damaging the sub and its message. There's already an image problem after the mod interview, but now its like every day there's a new poorly photoshopped screenshot or a story that sounds like a comedy sketch. This one, a ridiculously cartoonish fake story, was the real kicker: LINK The number of upvotes and earnest pieces of advice makes the sub look like its filled with idiots who believe anything that “furthers the cause”. If a text screenshot looks off, dont let it stay on the sub. If a story seems wildly unbelievable, it probably is. Dont let bait and karma farming ruin the sub even more…
Convince me otherwise…..
I recently started my job in a hospital as an admin, and my lead coworker has been very toxic. She is who I report to since I barely meet my boss. She micromanages and is very condescending. She is almost 60 and has nearly 40 years of experience but has been with this hospital for 2 years. Throughout her 2 years, she made 3 people before me left within 3 months. She is “always” very concerned about me getting COVID. She would always ask me once a week if any of my friends got COVID (When I first started, she would ask what I did over the weekends and I would say that I ate with my friends). She always asks me these snarky questions when I am in a good mood and unprepared. Last month, her mom and husband got covid, so she had to double mask at work.…
