I work for a very small company (50-75). There are less than 4 people in my department. One of the 4 left. I work an administrative role under my 2 managers. They both assign work to me. When one of them is out, I handle that manager's case load completely. I work well with one but the other one I've had an issue with more recently. One of my managers went on leave for a week. It was awful when they left because the other manager refused to not assign me work that was his. I have my own responsibilities on top of the role I was stepping into when they were out. This manager and I had multiple conversations about this issue but he ignores us and does whatever he wants since he's been with the company for so long. My work has a habit of expecting employees to pay for things like company supplies with our own money to be reimbursed later (sometimes 2+ weeks later). I don't mind paying for my personal protective equipment or uniform to be reimbursed, but I feel like it's unreasonable for them to expect us to pay hundreds of dollars for a hotel stay for mandatory out of town work, or to fill up large vehicles with gas, or other project supplies. My lead has insinuated that the company is doing us the favor so we can “collect points on our credit cards”. They pressure us to feel like we should just pay for it and they will pay us back, no big deal. But when you live paycheck to paycheck, like I do, I don't have hundreds of dollars set aside to loan my work. Is this abnormal to anyone else?

I have 2 autoimmune diseases and extreme anxiety doctor said it would be good to try a job that gives me exercise (walking moving etc) because my old job was in an office. Anyways 4 ladies were training me and one lady would get mad because she didn’t teach me how to do a certain thing and made me have an anxiety attack. Shes really nice but she gets upset when training me. Hi All, I left my toxic job without any backup two months ago. On my last day, one co-worker who is a manager in another team asked me where I am going next. I somehow changed the topic and didn't tell him. Another co-worker in another team with whom I had worked also asked me on LI where I was headed. I didn't reply to him either. What should I do? I feel bad because they are nice people with whom I had worked. Should I tell them that I left because of toxic managers in my team and I didn't had any backup job offer?

Interviewer didn’t care about my continued education, experience, accomplishments, nothing. She only cared that I was previously an employee in the company in a completely different role than the one I am applying for. Trying to get me to justify why I left the company and then want to come back in a different position. She interrupted and tried to gaslight everything I said. I feel like I got punched in the chest. I spent so much time preparing for the interview, researching, writing out questions and answers, all to be crapped on right out of the gate.

Boss makes a dollar, I make less than a penny. That's why my work ethic is zero and the amount of breaks I take is many.

Don’t let anyone tell you different. If they can’t staff it’s not your problem. Use your time whether you are sick or just need a day off…a business should be able to run if someone calls out and if it can’t it isn’t your issue
