Is this normal to you?
Hi all, this is my first post on this forum. I’ve been applying like crazy to jobs. I applied for the postal service and they asked for a 30$ deposit fee to even apply. Is that normal? I’ve applied to lots of jobs but I’ve never had to pay 30$ just to apply to a job.
It kind of kills me that one of these isn't stickied at the top of antiwork. Regardless, please get on this right now if you have student loans. I doubt there's anything more lucrative that you can be doing with your time than applying for a minimum of $10k, and up to $20k if you took pell grants, off of what you owe. So my job is very niche. I essentially single handedly manage the 3d printing division of a tech startup. It's only me working about 15 3d printers. I also do R&D by designing 3d models for both clients and our own use at the company for different products and machines. In addition I also help build these machines and products since our company is divided into two offices and the office I'm at only has me and the head engineer. At the moment I get 20 dollars an hour working full time which isn't bad but i obviously want more. The issue is that I have no idea what the pay of what I do should be. This is such a niche position i can't seem to find any resources or other people doing it so I can't compare wages with anyone. They're a really new business so it's my…
