The work number by equifax is a employee data collection system by one of the most corrupt credit report agencies. Equifax who had a massive data breach a couple years back and released many peoples personal info including ssn recently fired their employees who have multiple jobs by illegally checking their own system randomly without permission to do a background check. Freezing your the work number account will stop them from releasing your employement data when requested. This is not a big deal when doing background checks as you can provide paystubs instead to verify employment. Just look at what they are doing, they collect our data without permission, use it to make new products against us so the rich keep getting richer, then make it so YOU HAVE to request them not to report it. Started at a company 8 months ago after graduating college. I had three different job offers but this company seemed to align with what I wanted to do career wise. There seemed to be a decent team and room for growth so I accepted an offer that was less than what I was willing to accept but had the opportunity for commissions and growth potential. After 8 months of hard work in a team where my peers are less educated and experienced than myself, I had my review and asked to be compensated appropriately for my efforts. After staying late and working on weekend numerous times throughout the last 8 months, I was met with “propose a list additional responsibilities that you would like to undertake and we will asses the raise.” At the end of the day, I clocked out exactly at closing time and am looking for new…
