Should I attend this interview?

I’ve been working on my image and public figure for 2 years now, so I have over 3 million followers on my primary platform. Three weeks ago I was contacted by a podcast that wanted to interview me. Although the podcast located in another city and I would have to travel 5 hours to get there I said yes, because I think that if someone wants to interview you, then you shouldn’t waste the chance. The thing is, that I spoke to this girl on the phone and she said to me that she was going to send me a list of questions so that the interview would be better planned. I contacted her 4 days ago asking her about the list of questions, to what she responded: “it’s still very soon, I don’t send questionaires that soon, but the interview is confirmed for this Saturday.” So the interview is…

HR error could cause my friend to lose his job and get deported

My friend works in a big MNC, and his colleague quit his job. A careless HR employee revoked his H1-B work visa instead of the guy who quit. My friend has all the documents and even a visa stamping appointment in India next month. He was completely unaware of this situation until he tried to call his college to inform them of his status change from student visa (F1-OPT) to work visa(H1-B) before traveling for his stamping appointment. He was in for a rude shock when the college officials informed him that they couldn't find his work visa number. My friend then asked his company HR about it and after a lot of digging they found out what had happened and apologized to him for their mistake. Turns out the HR employee who made the mistake has also left the company. So there are no consequences for the HR who…

Why is that?

Why do American movies make you look like you're doing great, but in reality you're totally fucked? I'm from Russia.

Just learned what others are making, wow am I underpaid

I am a staff attorney at a major nonprofit in the US. Part of my job involves compliance reporting on various political activities the organization is involved with. This means I need to calculate the amount the org has spent by using an hourly wage for the involved colleagues. Thus I now know the salary of many of my co-workers. I am one of the lowest paid staffers in the organization. I'm honestly shocked and hurt, I didn't realize I was valued so little. And I work tremendously hard. I also notice a pattern where people who have been at the org for longer than more recent hires earn considerably less. It's like we are losing money by staying put. For a progressive org that prides itself on fighting for social justice the hypocrisy leaves me feeling nauseated.

it’s so fucked up that I have to be sick to actually feel relaxed

I got COVID last weekend. It's messed up that now I can actually relax and not need to answer calls when I'm not at work. When I wasn't sick when I wasn't on the clock, I would still get messages from them. Still couldn't rest too properly, because co-workers still message me even when I'm sick. Really opens my eye to the fact that jobs don't care about your well being. Oh yeah, I don't have any paid COVID days for some reason. I hate the state we're in. This whole economy right now is a fucking mess.

So I finally reported my manager to his supervisor.

Tw: brief mention of suicide It's been a nerve-wracking week. For clarification, I work at a college campus overnight. I keep watch of security cameras and make sure students at the dorms sign in after a certain time and arrive at their rooms safely. It's been a super rewarding job, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Except around three months ago, I was moved to a different dorm due to my previous manager retiring. My new manager, let's call him G, started out alright. He was polite and seemed enthusiastic about my starting there. But this attitude quickly devolved to the complete opposite. He lives on campus, and his room just so happens to be directly across from me. He started urinating with his door open, which I tried to just ignore at first, but the offence list quickly grew. He then got more comfortable leaving his door open…
