I left my LinkedIn profile dead since my last project so my so-to-be ex doesn't keep chasing me or defame me. Now my current employer is insisting that i update it. Anything i can do to keep it private so only th3 employer see the update and not open to anyone else? Thanks

Long story short, worked for this company for a while. It's been ok up until very recently, then went to absolute shit. Quit Tuesday walked out after about a hour. Bosses were scrambling since me and the other worker that left the same day. They've been fighting to pay us or last paycheck and even straight up saying they won't pay for the hour we worked on Tuesday since we quit. Any advice for this? We are technically considered 1099 unfortunately if that makes any difference. I've also been paid a dollar less than what my contract states and haven't received bonus that were in the contract as well. Long story short, I’m on a performance plan that I may not be able to achieve (I’m in the US). I’ll do my best in spite of ongoing health issues that happen to be coinciding with the plan, but realistically I want to be prepared for my company to let me go. Any recommendations for how to make peace and be ok regardless of the outcome of the plan?

For context, I live in Sweden. I work as a server/bartender and just like most jobs in the business our shift manager works on the floor with all the other workers. I am on good terms with this guy, we have a lot of similar opinions when it comes to politics, the bigger difference is his mixed market economy views, so he votes Social Democrat (Im trying to debate him the benefits of the socialist party in Sweden, but I have the feeling he is voting out of comfort). There’s a potluck going on. I participated and brought food. As a pick me up before lunch, I grabbed a plate of snack foods. I thought I’d just munch before I went to my real lunch hour to take my personal hour of me time to do personal business. I got back into my office and got lectured that, no, I will not be leaving, and actually, my lunch hour started when I got the plate of food, because this was meant to be a camaraderie, team building thing. Since it’s meant to encourage socialization among offices, I am not to leave, since I took some food. I was not told this prior.
