Month: October 2022
Ok to preface, I don't hate work I just want to vent real quick about a situation I've found myself in. So I have my first job, had it for about a month, washing dishes. It's not great, but not awful. Mediocre at best. I never wanted the job, still don't, but living with parents suck. I just got told about this online training I should have done ages ago, litterally just got told about it, and have to do 35 FUCKING Courses by tomorrow! Each is supposed to take an hour long soooooooooooooooooooo…. thanks work. Literally dying of stress over here, a freind just texted to see if I wanted to meet up and I would love to but these fucking courses say I can't. On top of that my parents want me to go for a run and do an hour homework today and I'm like do you…
And see your options from there. Doing this changed my life. It can change yours too.
Anybody else notice how you always have to kill “the boss” in video games? That’s all.
Okay, so unfortunately with my first ever full time job, that being Starbucks I can say that I’ve unfortunately have had perhaps one of the worst working experiences mainly due to incompetent and highly disrespectful managers I’ve ever had the displeasure of working with. Because I won’t let this slide, allow me to provide my testimony and why you should avoid working for Starbucks. Well they went back on that and instead scheduled me for the morning shift as a ROOKIE, keep in mind the morning shift is the busiest shift at a Starbucks due…
Stop scheduling meetings with me
The most annoying thing ever is when other people schedule pointless meetings with you. Why the fuck would you intentionally want to book time with other people over the most trivial nonsense.
My partner (26M) works out of town all week. It's hard being home by myself but whatever I get over it, we need the money. His job is so unorganized he STILL doesn't know who his boss is. Everyday they have him do something completely random, but hey at least it's not a “boring” job. Anyways, upon his agreement he would have weekends off. There was nothing mentioning extra time required, or even special circumstances in which he had to stay extra days if required. There was no information about compensation if he did have to stay a few days longer over the weekends or anything, other than a pat on the back, regular pay and an extra day off next rotation. How is that “ok”? You work 11-15 days in a row to get 1 measly extra day off and REGULAR PAY? There's no OT requirement in that province.…
