I hate Target the most

I have very obvious Scoliosis, it's extremely painful every day and I can barely breathe. I haven't had any luck finding a job that would cater to my disability. I tried Goodwill many times but was never called back, and someone said Target and Walmart hire people with disabilities. It was early covid times and I never had an interview, I was hired at Target after recording videos of myself answering questions. First day I'm in a room with other people watching a video of how Target welcomes everyone regardless of race or disability, they show managers in wheelchairs and all that so I thought this job is gonna be perfect. I was told that proof of vaccinations would get me some pay per shot, and because I was getting my shot one day, I called and said I was going to be 10 minutes late. Didn't think it'd be…

Boss Accused Me of Interviewing When I Used PTO

Got blindsided by my boss who accused me of being “checked out” and interviewing for other jobs. I took two half-days and one full day off this week and truthfully told them what I'd be doing (not that it was their business) but today my boss told me it's suspicious for employees to take a few hours here and there and he accused me of interviewing. I am extremely confident in my role and got many offers when I chose this company for the work-life balance rather than higher pay elsewhere, so this accusation was insulting to say the least. I've been with the company 6 months and have already gotten a promotion (no pay raise ). I could easily get another job and have multiple former employees who would take me in if I needed it. I don't want to leave my current company, but this isn't the first…

Saturday work and required holidays.

If any employer requires you to work Saturdays and required holidays. Just walk out. Don't talk to them anymore. It's not worth it being a slave, gaining depression and working on your God given right – Days off, and to wind down and relax on the weekend. And if ANY employer tells you to come in during your days off (including the weekend), tell them NO and instantly hang up. You do NOT have to work on your days off, DO NOT let them guilt trip you into it, then they'll do it everytime.

Ace Hardware in Tremonton

The ace hardware in TREMONTON had a position open for a sporting goods assistant. But when I got there the Manager told me they had 4 people already selling guns, (the job I wanted), and applicants as a backup. That's called perjury. I reported that ace hardware to the BBB and my Utah State investigator. I'd like to see them explain why they lied.

Job is Being Suddenly Antagonistic

So, I work for a food service job and basically they were really nice at first but recently got really passive-aggressive. So, I was scheduled for 4 days outta the week, and I told them I couldn't do one day. Now, I tried to pick another day, and I even called out ahead, and even offered my shift up around to the other employees. I want to emphasize I didn't just inflexibly call out the day before. The managers even told me this would be okay. Spoiler Alert: it was not okay. I imagine I'm going to be let go, and honestly it's just pathetic and I'm tired. I ain't resentful, but I ain't got no filter either. These people are fucking losers. Why are so many places these days just out to hurt us?

15 minute breaks, what happened??

Employee Rights I work at a corporate weed company in Massachusetts doing deliveries. Recently they let us drivers know that do to the “nature of the business” they will no longer be offering us, only the drivers not anyone else in the company, 15 minute breaks. My issue is while it’s no longer federally mandatory (which is soo fucked and I can’t believe no one talks about it), however it is company policy that everyone gets 15 minute breaks. As a driver I’m much more valuable to fatigue and face serious consequences for doing my job (accidents, robberies, violating federal law) but I can have a quick break to elevate my stress but everyone else who works for the same company can? Anyone else dealing with this? What are my rights?

How do Americans even budget?

I'm genuinely asking, how TF does anyone in America manage their budget? You get paid in tips, so you have no idea how much money you're going to make and everything costs more than what's on the pricetag.
