On my payslip was mentioned my role and all was fine. Then the agency started to assign me (with my consent) more responsibilities in other fields – admin, b2b, sales, customer service. My bosses frequently tell me I’m saving their asses, I am a workhorse, can do everything so well etc… So after a year of working there, I esteemed that my responsibilities greatly changed and increased. On yearly eval boss said he would increase everyone at least inflation. So I tried nicely asking my boss about it and at first got a meager 5%. If a billionaire can poorly pay and exploit 10,000 employees, but properly pay 1000, would it be better to get rid of 9,000 jobs to have 1000 people earning enough? And would 1000 employees be able to keep the company running as well as 10,000? If the billionaire reduces his pay to that of a regular worker, that doesn’t actually affect his assets much since he owns the entire company, and many billionaires have small paychecks comparatively anyway. If you remove the human factor and reduce it to an engineering question, it seems like there are trade offs in every direction.

Went to my pharmacy today, busy as all hell, as typical, and it was not fully staffed. The Pharmacist assistant said he just gave his 2 week's notice. Turns out CVS promised him that when he got his certification, he would get a $1 per hour raise, was told this for months. Just got his cert last Monday and they turned down his raise and said they do not do that anymore. So CVS, hard to find staff, decides to screw over an employee who then leaves. So good business decision or people do not want to work?

Alright so the story: Me and my cousin have been working at this one store for a long while now and there's this one stupid little shit of a merchandiser who feels like he has manager authority despite being at the store for less then a year, he is constantly pestering us as if he was a manager and he has finally got my cousin upset enough for him to speak to a real manager about this kid's attitude, the manager spoke to the little shit but he wasn't listening so my cousin and the manager both confronted him. After the confrontation this little shit has the audacity to say to my cousin “7 years working here and you can't even be on time”. My cousin works harder then any of the other merchandisers and has more authority then some of the other managers, he comes late but he doesn't…

Hi. I live in Turkey and working on a Notary. Scanning IDs and documents is pretty much essential for my job and our only working scanner brokedown. Instead of repairing or buying brand new he is saying “well just do scanning with your smartphones, its just as good with scanning apps” because repairing or buying brand new is too expensive. Without scanning our job will hit a roadblock and I absolutely dont want to use my personal phone for office jobs. What to do? I need some advices.
