I’m a salaried executive for a large retail company. Is it legal for them to tell us it is mandatory to turn work email on our personal device with no compensation and to also post job openings and such on our personal LinkedIn pages?

Went to the office today, and did not have much to do. Left the office at lunch, went home, and ate sandwiches for the rest of the day. I have literally done nothing work related at all today.

I work for a job platform specific to hourly jobs, but we're trying to bridge hourly work with social media to provide hourly workers more of a space to find the right jobs w the right environment for them. Ok the last two year have been hell: 1. No steady job 2. Temp jobs with no benefits 3. Lower salary 4. Last 10 months 100 mile round trip commute (hybrid 2-3 x week) temp assignment which is very vague when it’s going away (comp is fine for the commute- I’m in accounting). So I’ve been looking for something close to home permanent and with benefits for months 5. Today i get an email for an interview that job order is on hold 6. Last week got an email after a first interview “thank you but we’ve moved on” 7. July-Aug w/one company went the full interview rounds then got ghosted. 6 weeks later “oh sorry,not interested”. 8. Aug – went through the full interview process. I disclosed my salary requirements up front as it was over their budget & they continued interviewing me. They were in a mad rush…

Anyone else hear that DoorDash workers are striking on Oct 18th?

So I got hired on to this company to do sales. It started good and I was doing the work and learning their system very nicely. In my 1st week they said that my job requirements had changed and I needed to operate a machine which requires heavy lifting et cetera. I had previously told them in my interview that I had been hit by a forklift the year before and could not do that type of work any longer and it was understood that my job would be in sales and back end quality control. They said well this is the job that's available to you and and we can't really do anything about it. So I said bye bitches and I was out. Lol

Initially I was going to wait until Feb 2023 for certain reasons, but my anxiety is getting really bad even when I’m not at work. I hit one year mid-November (I believe the 17th?), should I just resign then, or now? It’s also only a part time college job and I live with my parents and attend college in my city. I was going to wait it out until next year bc the new school semester starts and it would be a great time to resign rather than peak holiday season but my manager is making it difficult.
