Would making long term capital gains taxes progressive with tiers change the US forever?

Wonder what would happen if someone ran for president with the sole purpose of making long term cap gains progressive. They totally shut down any lobbyist while running. What would that do to the dispersion of wealth? To the stock market? To the housing market? To the value of the dollar?

Quick question

So I Have a manager who is very overbearing, rude, and has no respect for me as when I started the job, I told her of all future events taking place in my life, and she still scheduled me on all the dates I had given her, she also has no regard for my college classes I am taking and schedules, at the same time the classes start, so I got tired of all of it and found another job and have put in my two-week notice and I am scheduled today so my question is should I even go in or finally say goodbye to that place and prepare for my next job Edit: I only ask because I feel almost guilty for even thinking of not showing up I was raised with the mindset of you stick it out no matter what that’s why I’m asking everyone else’s…

i’m so depressed.

i graduated college with good grades. i lost two very important family members in my life while i was in college. one of them passed away from cancer during my last month of classes right before graduating. It was extremely painful to go through. i had five classes during this time and i just wanted to give up, but my dad told me that I don’t have a choice and “adults go through this stuff and still go to work”. so i managed to pass all of those classes with all As and Bs. After graduating, I thought getting a job would be easy. Everyone was telling me the job market is great right now and everyone is looking for graduates. I’ve must of applied to over 300 jobs on LinkedIn during my first three months since graduating. I’ve gotten a dozen phone call interviews and 3 job interviews for…

My job has a precedent where every one posts when they’re out sick in the group chat

This also applies to working from home, they every one posts in the group chat with ALL teams. I understand telling your supervisor and team that you’ll be out, but the precedent set of people saying that they’re sick, working remotely that day, etc. gives me anxiety. I always fear they’ll think I’m lying about being sick or lazy. Also, as someone with a chronic illness that I like to keep private, it’s no one’s fucking business why I’m out. Should I break the precedent for myself or talk to my manager?
