…but everything is coated in that plastic HR 'smile.' So a little backstory. I've been unemployed for several months now. I suffer from severe depression, which as most of you know is essentially akin to a Scarlet Letter in the American job market. I also need to work part-time because my wife works full time and our young daughter is in school. Oh, and did I mention we're essentially homeless because there's nothing out there to rent and so we have to stay with family? Just throwing that out there. Anyway, recently I applied for a part time job in Human Services after being contacted by the company's recruiter. They're pretty desperate, or so they basically implied. I’m over it. I(F23) have been a full time employee and college student for awhile now, and in my new job, I was approved to go to campus 2 days a week while still working full time. I can work from home/remotely when needed. My boss said to work it out with my coworker and we did, fairly and evenly. I digress, he scheduled a meeting during my exam (which was blocked out on my schedule) and now he’s “asking HR permission” for my schedule change. 2 months after he approved it already. 8 fucking weeks later. So, I have to pray HR says yes or decide if I’m dropping out or putting in my resignation. I’m fucking livid.

I work for a large company and am focused in the catering department. We were just told today that our delivery fee will be increasing! I was so excited with gas prices back on the rise. I asked how much we will be getting for delivery. Nothing is changing for drivers. The amount we receive will stay the same while the increased amount is being used to pay for a system they just purchased. This is absolutely ridiculous.
