Accidentally went in on my day off.

Well I had planned time off today. I accidentally showed up to work because I forgot I had it off. I let my boss know I was going home and she was like yeah cool… But I still feel like scum for leaving. I know that I’m a big part of the front staff and I know today will be harder for my coworkers because I’m not there. I feel like a bad person for going home and not just cancelling my PTO since I was already there. Do I owe my boss and coworkers an apology?

A turned 32.5 a couple weeks back and I just realized I have my whole life up until now until I retire.

Kind of a depressing shower thought.

Tracking Quiet Quitting trend across social media platforms

Hello comrades! I’m doing a research project following the “quiet quitting” trend (specifically on Twitter). As I understand it, the trend started on TikTok. I’m struggling to track it’s popularity trends across social media platforms, mostly because at this point there’s so much content out there to sift through, so I figured some crowd-sourcing was in order. I love this community, and figured you all would have some valuable input on the subject. I’m coming to this community to ask you all where you first saw the trend, and how you saw it progress. Mainly, when did you see it seep into other platforms? When did you start seeing articles about it? What social media platforms are you seeing it on? What is your specific online community (set by the algorithms and your engagement) saying about it? Is there anything you think I need to know?

I have a 3.5 – 4hr interview for a position I desperately need, and it has to have a 25min presentation (powerpoint, something or other, etc)…. What are good resources to use to make the presentation really hit for a university?

Background: – This is my first time doing this level of interview. – This will be for a position that will be first shot of moving out of a poverty level of pay. -It's a union position with benefits. -I desperately need a job. I have all the information I need. I just need to create a presentation on it, as a recruiter for a university. Any websites to help make it pop? That do some of the work for me? Tricks? Tips? I'll take any help I can get. Examples ETC. I have 5 days to prepare which is plenty for someone without a job currently. More information will be below as it is requested. I haven't done presentations to this magnitude in a very long while. Think school, and being 30yrs old right now.
