I don’t know if this is the right place to post this but I just needed to get this off my chest. My boss is nice and for the most part fine but there’s been a few things here and there that she’s said or done that have really turned me off to her and this job. Our company has a rule that employees in their first year are not permitted to work from home at all, after the year is up you can take a day here and there at your managers approval if you have something going on or need to travel. When I had Covid and needed to still do some things, she sent me an email that was like “I shouldn’t be doing this because I could get in trouble and it’s not allowed, but I am permitting you only 4 hours of WFH a day.”…

I applied for a position that’s 10 hours per week yet this still requires 3 rounds and a month of training (this is a simple customer service job) and in another position, after completing a test and a zoom call they ghosted me. I am so tired of corporate I just want to work! I don’t know how I will pay rent this month 🙁

People often compare landlords to scalpers but this isn't the case. A scalper uses their money and gives you the product at the end of it. They are useless middlemen who artificially drive up prices. Landlords don't use their money to buy the house. They use your money to pay for their mortgage, insurance and repairs and you don't even get the product at the end of it. It's made even worse by the fact that scalpers aren't selling goods that are largely inelastic. Look at a price chart of rent over many years and you see that the price going down is simply a myth because no matter how much prices go up people don't want to be homeless so they'll get roomates and work more jobs. Scalpers are bad but they are saints compared to landlords.

Good thing I got dressed and drove a half an hour to come to work and look busy. Anyone else going through this nonsense? I'll add that I am thankful for the days I do get to wfh and I feel for those that had to come back full time.

Hello, I was looking for some advice and just wanted to rant I have been at my job almost a year ( November) upon starting we got 60 hours of flex time that expires in one year. For the first 3 months we were told not to use any time off. I only used 1 day and now have limited time before the remaining 7 days expire I was granted recently a extra 5 days off for having covid which was nice of the company But I am feeling pressure not to use my remaining 7 days of PTO before it expires because of being on a performance plan for not meeting sales quota recently. ( nor just me 60%+ are not meeting quota) I have been told that the company will pay out 4 of the 7 PTO days I have. But I also feel like that defeats the…

I (F19) worked at a restaurant for about a year and a half. I left temporarily to go to school (which was never an issue for my boss), and after I left, I got into some conflict with one of my coworkers because he was being obnoxious and racist online and I ‘liked’ a comment that called him out. I never said anything, I just pressed like. Later that evening (and over the next couple of days), said coworker’s in my DMs, exploding on me for being so “triggered,” telling me “don’t come back” to work and “nobody wants you to work here” because of the meltdowns I have when I’m overworked (I’m autistic w/ accommodations).
