am I being screwed over ?
I recently started a job as a sales person at a furniture store I was told it's hourly wage and commission Come to find out I have to make double my hourly wage to see my commission So if I make 2000$ hourly in a month I have to make 2000$ in commissions just to break even then after 2000 I see what is sold after that …. Something about it just feels wrong any thoughts?

Lol “come learn about packaging”
My stepfather works at a factory that makes things like munitions and blasting caps. Today a young man, fairly new at the job, went into one of the bunkers that stores powder and he didn’t come back out again. There was a huge explosion (mostly contained in the bunker). The guy was just…. in pieces. A number of employees ran to see what happened after the huge boom, yeah they seen that. Took them all awhile to call the emergency service/ambulance, they were all in shock. They knew he was dead. Management kept everyone at work, I’m not sure if they made them continue working or just shuffled them into a break room for hours after it happened. My stepfather is still in shock and isn’t saying much. They told him to call in the morning to see if he had to work tomorrow. The whole thing is just really…
Venmo me 25 cents for a cheap beer
I work and can't afford it
I get it work sucks. But it’s a ton better than doing absolutely nothing. Not doing anything is worse and leads to sedentary lifestyles and depression. I want to get a take, what is the goal of this subreddit? To just not work and do passions 24/7 or is this more of a venting outlet.
