There is no pocket on jeans
Giving it your all = doing 60hr/week, barely eating, crying every morning, depression, all for the “promise” of a mediocre raise/promotion VERSUS Working bare minimum at your job = no stress (cause they don’t pay you enough to care), get just the right amount done so they think you are the best employee they ever had, no extra responsibility you volunteer for. All for the “promise” of a mediocre raise/promotion
Finally doing it.. this is my last week. So terribly excited to leave this toxic work environment. Apparently my employer only matches 4% with each paycheck. Then, once a year they contribute the remaining 2% from the year as a lump sum. Since I am leaving before this occurs, they are refusing to square the IRA. Another thing that has troubled me is a “smoking surcharge,” of $40 every two weeks. Isn’t paid to insurance, but directly removed from my check for the company. Is there any recourse for enforcing the match? Is the smoking surcharge even legal?
