I know it sounds like it but I am not depressed or anything. The thing is that I have no motivation for anything because I know that I will die one day. I just don’t see what the purpose of life is. I can tell myself to work hard the next 30 years and make a lot of money and then maybe retire. But who says I’m gonna be alive in two years? Not because I’m thinking about suicide but we never know when our time comes. I can’t find a purpose to go chase my dreams when it’s not promised that I will be alive in a few years. i work at a pretty big corporation. well i was transferred after filing a sexual harassment claim against my coworker( they were kept at the og store, i was moved farther away ) and i can’t shake this feeling of being betrayed. now at this location i am constantly getting under minded and asked why i am only part time. i applied for part time and it’s me and my partner’s agreement for me to work part time and i hate having to explain myself to my supervisors all the time. they also get mad i don’t stay late, it’s not my fault they’re scheduling idiots. i feel like i was told to just shut up and now they’re trying to push me out. i just can’t seem to hold a job and it brings down my life value because how can i ever support myself?

I was fired during the pandemic from an employer for bullshit reasons. Real dick move on their part to leave someone in the lurch during a very uncertain time. Once things started opening up and I was taking the metro again I noticed the metro card they gave me and put all of a piddly $25 a month on was getting refilled still. I used it once and noticed the next time it was still refilling get again. Fasr forward to over 2 years later and they still refill it every month. I don’t metro much so have probably used around $200 off of it. Should I keep doing it or will to come back to bite me in the ass?

Not sure if this belongs here but it’s been bugging me all day lol I wear a baseball cap to work (fitted or SnapBacks) as does my boss and a few other people in a different department. We hired a new guy back in September who doesn’t wear a hat but with the cold weather he came to work the other day wearing a Carhartt beanie and my boss lost his shit. I’m sitting here thinking “damn I was going to start rocking one soon too,” but I guess I’m not. His whole reasoning was “it’s unprofessional” his one and only reason. My question is…how? Maybe if we were in a corporate setting..but we’re not. I work at a truck shop.
