For context I struggle with anxiety, depression, undiagnosed autism, and some other health concerns I'll likely never get diagnosed. This time, I tried being a Leasing Agent. Only 20hrs a week at $14/hr with zero benefits. Dealing with some of the residents [and potential future residents] straight up makes me want to die. Some people are straight up fucking stupid. Like the guy who sprayed my coworker and I with a f9re extinguisher. That felt real nice in all the little cuts on my hands, and in my lungs. Or the woman whose porch was literally wall-to-wall covered in jurassic sized dog shit, and piss. Or the other handful of people screaming in my ear over the phone. Which triggers a very specific kind of PTSD where I would rather McDie than be trapped on the phone, unable to defend myself. For the math, I make about $1,600/month. Bills knock…

Is anyone else dealing with this? Yesterday was thanksgiving I usually get paid on Friday but today nothing. I’m assuming it will come tomorrow I have a well known bank here. In my country we have health and safety representatives for workers on the floor, who are also workers on the floor. They listen to their coworkers and report any concerns and suggestions related to health and safety. We are trained in the law and have certain powers to stop workers if nessesary. My business is in the middle of a transition. We used to not really care about health and safety too much. The company that brought us does because they legally have to. Our part of the buisness is very small but definitely still neglected. Ie a guys still recovering from being crushed a month or 2 ago. I took the course Thursday and on Friday my new boss, who is the national operations manager (so she's a bit busy), asked how my course went. Genuinely dont know where to go from here. They refused to put most of this in writing. His manager saw he was going to meet the metrics of this insane PIP and he said “don't waste your energy where it's not productive.” which we took to mean you're getting fired no matter what, so start applying elsewhere. This has happened to 8 people that we know of this month. HR Called him into a meeting on Tuesday the 18th and said sorry youre out, you'll get two weeks severance and paid out for 5 PTO days. We'll send the paperwork for you to review… except.. they didn't. Apparently HR has “an open ticket and will reach out soon” but radio silence. We've called them and they wont help. Lives and FT wfh in CT. Anyone have any advice? Is this legal? Can we complain to NLRB?

Right now the store I work at isn't all that busy. If anything, it was more busy on Wednesday. How's it going for you guys? Any crazy stories to tell yet?

last tuesday (14th) i admitted myself into a psychiatric care facility and stayed there for a week, i did indeed tell my boss that i would be out for a week. i get out the following tuesday and i get a call from her asking why i’m not at work, i told her i got out tuesday and was not coming in and i have a doctors note stating i will be returning to work on saturday (26th). she chose to ignore my doctors note and had me come in the following day on wednesday and as of right now she’s still ignoring it. it was extremely overwhelming as the day before thanksgiving and everyone was doing their last minute shopping. i also have a follow up appointment that she was not willing to let me go to because it would be in the middle of my shift. so today…
