Background: working front desk at a medium sized pet boarding/daycare facility. This happened around middle 2020 when Covid was still widespread and an unknown quantity. CDC guidelines said to stay home if you had ANY symptom. There were many reasons why I was getting sick of working here. I was hired on at a higher hourly rate then normal and told not to talk about it with coworkers. When coworkers found out my hourly and requested higher pay (mind you they have 2+ years experience over me) they were denied and I was reprimanded. We also made hundreds of dollars a month in cash tips. We the employees never saw a single cent. (I know now that this is illegal). What really ended it for me was when I became very ill. How long in advance do you know your schedule for work? My schedule is posted every Thursday which begins that Sunday. It is not consistent. How much time in advance do you find out when you are working? I work in the service industry (server/bartender) for reference.

I understand from a sexual harassment standpoint why it’s unethical and gross. But if I, as an associate at a retail store, want to get drinks with my partner and the assistant manager at my store and their partner, I’ll get threatened by the DM with a final write up. Is there a reason for this rule that I’m missing?

I worked at a gas station for a few years and last year, I left that job for better pay. I regretted it. I worked at warehouses, at a Walmart, and I spent my wages treating mental illness symptoms that flared up during that time. I came back to my old job, but I felt changed for the worse. I wish I can get my happiness back as my job right now is actually decent except the wages. I think I got very jaded by the soul-sucking of my old jobs. Quitting my work would not work out for me and getting SSI would take over a year to attain. So I am looking at seven plus years of work until I apply for widow's benefits (50 1/2 with documented disability). Thanks in advance!

I’m a creative lead and by job description it is my task to implement designs but it seems like my boss doesn’t trust me with it. We always have clashing ideas on what looks good and I never really liked what he likes. But the problem is whenever I make a proposal, in any matter, he quickly rejects it. Sometimes even not design related. It’s really toxic and discouraging. What do you suggest I should do? Should I ask to transfer managers? I really like the company and I actually have no plans of leaving.

Good afternoon! I work at a small bank, and I'm a float banker. So I go to all the different branches when they need help or have someone out for whatever reason. I absolutely love my job, but recently there has been a situation at a branch that I did go to HR for, and I was basically just called sensitive. I left it at that, and moved on with my life. BUT this current situation has made me absolutely distraught. I come to this branch that I've been to before, but this time I'm at the drive up, and it's not connected to the main branch. I come in, and a transaction is already logged and written down but not processed, I'm supposed to be the one to process it.
