No holiday pay. About to go through absolute hell.

I requested 2 hours of personal time for the middle of the workday on ADP, and added the out of office time to my calendar a week in advance. I checked in with my manager day of to make sure they remembered I was out of office for a bit, and they told me I didn't need to submit the time and that personal hours were handled outside of ADP. Okayyy, sure. I asked what exactly theh meant by this. After a few minutes of talking without actually saying anything, they finally got to their point that since I was salaried I could take some time for appointments as needed, as long as I made up those hours elsewhere during the week. I said no, I was using my personal hours contracted to me for the year. They said no, since I was salaried I was able to be flexible…

So had a conversation with my step aunt at the table and this is what was said: Her: I heard you lost your job last month Me: yup, still looking Her: why don’t you switch career fields? Me: I would but I’d be starting at the bottom and I’m already very seasoned in my profession. I’d have to take a massive pay cut and couldn’t afford to live. Her: I had to change careers multiple times(note: she’s a millionaire stock investor and has been for over 20 years) Me: if I change careers I literally can’t even feed myself. Her: uhhh I don’t understand. Me: my bills are 4K a month. If I make less I can’t survive. Her: I still don’t get it. Me: ok here’s an example… if I make 3k a month where does that other 1k come from so I can eat? Her: you need to…

The company I work for has this year’s holidays on the day after Christmas and the day after New Years since the actual holidays are both on Sundays. Last week they deleted the days off for our department ONLY (“to give you the opportunity to catch up”because we’re not doing as well), the rest of the company gets those days off. They totally deserve it if the whole dept doesn’t show up on those days.

BACKGROUND check Conexess Conexess (USA) didn't ask about my employment history. How are they checking former jobs? I have a bogus job for the last two years during “covid” b/c I had a lot of temp jobs, so put a local business that is out of business, but they have other locations, so am concerned…. I had on my reference list a contact ready for that “job”, but they didn't even ask for former jobs. ​ thoughts? Any one deal with Conexess before?

The way sales is currently practiced is predatory for the most part. At its base, a salesperson is simply the bridge between the manufacturer to the buyer. Why do salespeople do this in first place? One reason is sociopathic behavior of certain individuals who love feeling powerful and greed. The second reason is that most salespeople are forced, pressured, and exploited to meet quotas for the firm, company or agency they represent. I used to be a salesperson before. Hi there, just wanna get this somewhere right of my chest, where it maybe somehow belongs. I'm in a solid job with good average wage and have nothing to stand up against. But it took me 15 years in worklive and about 25 companies to finally find a good position to rest in as long as it lasts. I'm no leader type. I'm realising it and and I'm very comportable with it. I'm more of the amiracan beauty guy type, searching for the “least responsability”, not to the extent in the movie, but there is a tendency. Long story short. My Girl just got into unemployment assistance (ALGII germany) and the “jobcenter”(the institution) sent me a job offer + the supposed company also sent me an invite. This triggered me on a deep and personal level. Here it comes… never ever will I work for a “TEMP AGENCY” again!!! Graped…
