The assistant manager has decided to give herself an extra 40 minute break but gets annoyed with me when I'm a minute over. We're allowed a 50 minute break but she takes an hour, and then around an hour before her shift ends, she takes another one that lasts 30 minutes. The manager doesn't say anything? But they both mentally time me and I'm so frustrated

im not really antiwork or a socialst or whatever but the fact that major transnational corparactions are losing lots and lots of money makes me happy Becsuse work hard this stratagy that but how can you earn not billions but trilloins in a clean way j never suppourted multi-billionares nor their (stupidly large corparations) And since meta,amazon and s&p 500(the companies its sad some many ppl lost tehir investments) is sinking i hope to see more of them fail Espacially the ones who work with govt. filling their pockets with tax dollars while selling immensly overpriced services I hope you a nice sleep aswell

First of all, sorry for my broken English, it’s not my native language. It's going to be quite long so there is a TL;DR at the end. To give you a little background about myself, I am a last year engineering student at one of the French “Ivy League”. For my last year, I chose the “apprenticeship” program: basically, I’m working part-time as part of my degree. I interviewed with a lot of companies and NGOs, and eventually got several offers. In particular, two of them stand out. Even though they were quite different (a big company, on one hand, and an NGO on the other hand), they had a major common point: sustainable development, at least that is what I thought. My heart told me to choose the NGO, while my brain and family told me to choose the company. I eventually chose the company and started working there…

There’s another thread right now with an employee who works in construction catching flack because he’s being forced to take unpaid time off for being sick since he was sick twice (with the flu and then COVID, poor fucker) and he wanted to work to get paid It blows my mind that so many people fail to understand that the fundamental issue with that entire scenario is that his employer gave him a pathetic ONE WEEK of PTO (which includes sick time off?). In what world is this acceptable to any of you except for the scores of bootlickers I see on these threads, trying to rationalize that the status quo is okay? One week of PTO is not enough. Two weeks of PTO is not enough. Why can’t we all agree that work fucking sucks and we deserve more PTO? I don’t love my job but I’ve taken well…

I'm tired of wage increases that don't match inflation. I'm tired of being a capitalistic slave. I've stopped working hard for the past 3 years and it's been the best choice of my life to coast at these shitty office jobs that want you to be a team player and “go above and beyond” while paying you pennies and wanting over performance from you. Fuck these horrible bosses and horrible pay. Fuck Capitalistic Pigs running this society

I was recruited by a rival software company and everything seemed fine. My first day, my direct boss went on vacation and I was not given a proper onboarding. When she returned we went over Hubstaff (our system to clock in and out) and she specifically told me to enter my time in manually. Showed me how to do it and walked me through the process over Google Meet. I manually entered my time in for the past 3 weeks and was promptly let go the same day for violating company policy. I was also notified that all manual submissions will not count and I won’t be paid for them. I have texts from my boss at the time telling me we will go over manual submissions over our next meeting. What are my options? Can I sue the company? I’m in California but the company was located in Nevada.…
