Above texts pretty much describes it , I fucking hate construction. They give you a time to be there but expect you to get there 30 mins early unpaid ? Like why not just say “get there for 6:30 we start at 7” instead of saying “be there for 7” and then saying “ah well it’s just like your generation to not be early” Like fuck people

Not really sure where to post but essentially I was working with a recruiter company and then was eventually hired under contract for another company, but the thing is the on-boarding was completely unprofessional and for the first two weeks noone helped me. When I reached out for help from the hiring company and my recruiter company I was told to wait until I was assigned. so about 3-4 months go by and I am still unassigned but they were still paying me. Now I wake up this morning and to a e-mail from the recruiter company I was working with saying my contract is being terminated. They make reference to me being of a project for a long time and also say they will give instructions to send company laptop back, but I haven't even been on a project nor have I ever received a laptop. I work as a product manager for a large company. I’m one of 5 PdMs in the same department under the head PdM. My title is the lowest (all others are senior PdMs), and due to this I have the lowest pay as well. However, I cover the largest number of projects. The senior PdMs all only have 3-4 projects they support, while I have 7-8. I’m also the only one who is a contractor and not permanent. Now the interesting thing is my workload is not heavy at all, and I never have to do OT. None of the others on the team have to do any OT either. However I still feel like I’m not properly compensated. I don’t really care much about the title, but I think the pay should be reflective of responsibilities. Hey Folks! Called a local union a few weeks back about unionizing my work. They said they would be able to assist but wanted me to find a list of folks personal info so they could reach out. How the hell would I go about doing this? The guys advice on it was “there’s gotta be one paying around somewhere” I know we have the right to unionize and attempt to but I can’t see me ringing up HR asking for personal info and them just handing out. Most of the people called put today because the roads are awful so why is it that my manger feels the need to call us and try and get us to come in. Why is my life worth one days profit! If everywhere is telling people to stay home and off the roads why should I feel the need to go to work. Stay safe for those who are driving in bad conditions

I have a legit question for those who work in the shipping industry. I work at a repair shop for a decent company, we constantly get in broke and destroyed shipments. Its like no care at all is taken in handling anything and it actively fucks over the customer NOT the company. We get something destroyed in, we can warranty and get a new one while the guy who is waiting for the repair gets fucked in the ass because now they have to wait however long for a replacement. People quite often NEED whatever is being repaired, the company is going to make its money one way or another but why fuck over fellow individuals? Its just like the “protestors” that block off roads and actively fuck over the fellow man instead of the ones actually bleeding the world dry. I have been working at this office for less than a year, small office with around 5 people any given day. One of my coworkers, an older lady who is actually the company founders sister has been ignoring me. I remember she started this when I was in the bathroom just peeing and the phone started ringing.
