When literally just applying for a job…especially if I know I don't have one because I've never even talked to a police officer… I don't understand why I'M responsible for that cost if it's for the organization's purposes. edit: I ask bc I was just asked to consent to both undergoing one (fine, working with vulnerable populations) AND paying for it myself. I just said no because I don't see why I should pay for it lol. It also said that this has to be done before being considered for employment.
My sister works at a less than a dollar store and she only got paid for 3 out of the 6 hours she worked on christmas eve. I looked over her paystub and the screenshot from whatever app they use to track how long they worked and it lines up. I don’t think that’s allowed but I’m in the military and this is the first and only job I’ve had so I may be wrong. What should we do, I want to help her but I don’t even know where to start. She lives in Nevada and works part time.
I resigned on the 10th of January 2023. It is compulsory to give a 1 month notice but I spoke with the HR and they allow me to give only two weeks and a half. My boss, the departmental head, didn't do anything during the period of notice to hire or look for someone to replace me. The job I do not complicated but you have a lot of administrative and accounting procedures to follow. My mom retired last year after almost 30 years with the same insurance company where she was an executive assistant to a CxO for 15+ years.
