its a snow a day so all of our technicians didnt show up. I am one of the office people for my department who is more than capable of doing the technician job but covering for them isn’t on my job description. Nor have I received any training for the job I am not responsible for. I have no fear of getting fired because there are some not so ethical things happening behind the scenes that we all just happen to be okay with. (things that could easily bankrupt the company and I am well aware of what they are and where to report). I recently got a 2% raise, but for my workload and work ethic i figured i deserved at least 3%. So I work for an unnamed restaurant that has many remote carts and locations that all the employees are randomly assigned to. This one weekend I was assigned to work a music festival. This meant that I was sleeping in a tent and working a grill in 100+ degree weather. I’m tough like Superman so I could deal (plus, free concerts) HOWEVER, my company was super short staffed because everyone was getting heatstroke and…unsober. Also, all of the event staff hired just for the festival only used it to get a free ticket and never showed up to work.
