The company that I’ve worked for for 7 years recently changed my shift to overnight where I’d be working entirely on my own through 6 hours of it. They said if I’m to be on my own I’d have to know how supervisors resources work and trained me in how to operate as one. The other 5 hours of my night I’m to work with the same responsibilities as a supervisor. I DO NOT make a supervisors salary. P.S. was also told my performance through 2022 was so exceptional that I’d be taking a company paid trip to Hawaii for four days only to be told the next day that I work too low of a position to qualify and instead get $50 worth of in company points that I’ll be taxed on.

During the pandemic, I did my job 100% remotely for over two years. Last year, our company decided that they were tired of letting our giant office building sit vacant, so they forced us all to come back in 4 days a week. It was bullshit and a lot of people left. I stayed because I love my boss (none of this is her fault and she fought for us to remain remote). I also love the work I create at my job. The main problem is- being in the office sucks. I've only been at my current job for a month or 2, and now have schedule clashes with my uni schedule. There's no way to rearrange my roster so I figured I'd give my two-week notice so my manager has some time to train people before she leaves for a holiday. I have a 5hr shift tomorrow, and it's a really small + quiet store, so I spend all day pretty much standing next to the manager and only really end up serving 2-3 customers.
