I've been working for 12 years now, some of it in Dubai and the rest here in India. I'm now working for a company in the states (outsourced ofcourse), and have made friends with some of the workers there. One of whom is a very sweet lady, who used to talk to me a lot about how life is here in India and her life in US, I used to share pictures of my hometown or wherever I went on vacation that year. Once I asked her that since she lived in such a vast and beautiful country, which places she had been on vacation , she said she didn't go on any vacation in the past 25 years, that was a shock to me. I have horrendous anxiety that is effecting mt ability to work. My first few jobs I stayed for 5+ years each and loved working with customers, but the past 4 years I’ve been let go from 3 different jobs for not being able to keep up due to panic attacks that cause me to take extra breaks or call out of work occasionally. It’s extremely frustrating to work so hard to try to overcome my mental issues at work just to be fired each time regardless of how much I improve over time. I’m curious if there are any legitimate WFH jobs that are mostly chat based or at least not 100% customer service over the phone. Huge bonus if part time. If anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate it so much. My background is mostly retail customer service and I have an associates degree, working toward a bachelors currently.…

Just started a new job which I actually really like, however part of my role includes covering the customer service phone line during lunch breaks. From today they want me to start taking calls but I honestly don't feel like I know enough yet to do so, I've told them this and their response was “you'll be fine you'll learn it all as you take more calls”. I don't mind speaking on the phone its just the fact I don't feel like I know enough and I don't want to look stupid. I don't know what to do as I feel so anxious about going into work today and doing it and I've had such a sleepless night because of it.

Starting Monday September 4th 2023, Labor Day, the Working-class, in general, will stop going to work for the entire week instead of just one day.
