Maybe like 4 years ago I had a horrible call center job for a company called c3 in Tucson Arizona. I hated it so much. Got yelled at all day dealing with cox communication cable and internet billing questions. I wasn’t to professional myself. I would argue and probably yell at these customers. I knew I wasn’t going to last after getting called into my supervisors office to get reprimanded. So I got another job it just didn’t start for one month I didn’t want to quit and have no income for weeks. I burned my pto weeks ago. So I was on a phone call when a coworker asked what I was still doing working there and I told him I’m waiting for my job to start. He pretty much told me to leave because I looked like I hated it there. So I just put my headset down…

Wildest Interview I’ve witnessed
Guy that set the interview asked for my availability last week, I provided it because I'm actively looking for work. No word back until Sunday, where he indicates my response was unclear and requests availability for this week. I provided him two dates/times. He picked one and I set the appointment(I didn't get an invite, I had to set the appointment). I call to confirm and sure enough, he communicated a different time to the guy doing the interview. I oblige and show up for when the guy doing the interview was ready for it, the wrong time but meh all good. Entering into the building Suits(we'll call him suits) is on the phone and allows me to tailgate him into the secured facility(huge red flag) and proceeds to simply walk away. There's no visible reception however he did mumble something while walking away. I followed not having heard, to…
i’m fucking enraged right now. i want to apply to dental school and i’m trying to get clinical hours and i found a small general dental office that was willing to hire me and train me, and they were aware i only had a few months of experience as an orthodontic assistant. just started my 3rd week there and the doctor’s wife, not even him, calls to tell me they want someone with more experience and they want to part ways. why fucking hire me and say you’re willing to train me if you’re not?? the doctor seemed like an arrogant piece of shit anyways. just fucking pissed and had to vent.
4 asterisks
Hmm haha. Saw this in my dermatologist's office.
every meeting
New policy starting tomorrow.
Warehouse jon with productivity. Management has decided that starting tomorrow everyone has to scan in thier own frieght proir to processing it and it's so fucking obvious that they're trying to squeeze us it's disgusting. I guess they got wise to people lying about thier numbers.
There is a company (which I'm not going to name) that was in the news a few times because the CEO is a little kookoo and often says really crappy stuff to their employees. Because of this, they recently lost a lot of employees who quit due to the CEOs behavior and are now hiring for quite a few positions. The job opportunity looks good though. It's pretty much what I need to get my foot in the industry given my lack of experience in this field. But, I'm worried I'll be making a terrible mistake. I'm not afraid to quit if it comes to that, but I also don't want to waste my time. I'm also worried about how it would look working at a company that makes such comments and has such taboo beliefs. Opinions?
I got hired on as a front end supervisor to a popular retail chain (won't say the name but ill say its undergoing a merger). I was officially hired on in September and my official start date was Oct 1st. During the interview, the hiring manager said that benefits will come into effect after 90 days of working 32+ hours a week. So, I did. I worked anywhere between 38-44 hours a week, but when my benefits hadnt come in by January I was confused. I took it up with the big manager and he said it was because I was hired on as “part-time” (despite working the hours). He moved me to full time and I still worked the hours, but I was told I would have to wait a 30 day timer and then I'd receive a packet to enroll me in benefits. Fast forward to the start…
Old but still relevant
Yep still relevant today.
Don’t become a slave
I truly believe the reason why a large percentage of Americans are in debt and live paycheck to paycheck is because no one has taught them how to thrive in a capitalist society. The only way to not be in debt and be financially free is by owning your own business or investing heavily in businesses. Working a 9-5 job for 30 years does nothing for financial freedom. Also, running your home finances like a business will set you up for success. Every month look to be ahead or in essence make a profit. But we are told to get an education and get a job. Well, a good education will cost you and then you have to get a job to pay your education debt off. In ancient times that was the definition of slavery. If a person owed a debt they would sell themselves and work until their…
