Exactly as the title states. I’ve been told I’m being laid off but have been asked to lay off (give the news) people on my team I will have the support of HR during the discussion, but can’t help to think it feels a little weird both for me AND the person being released
Ahh yes baby boomers do no wrong
Baby boomers, who have caused all of this country's financial problems, always trying to blame other generations.
Job Essentially Said F**k You!
I work at a law firm doing Personal Injury work. I've been working here for almost 2 years. I was hired with 0 experience so they could train me how they wanted – I make $19 an hour. About a month ago one of the attorneys pulled me in and said almost word for word “we aren't taking away any work from you, you're just going to be getting more” and told me to “wait 6 months and see how it goes” when I asked for more compensation for said more work. I've been applying ever since. Almost 200 jobs at this point and I've either been ghosted or gotten scam jobs. I'm feeling really defeated.
Companies: Remote…means REMOTE!
Dear Companies If you list a position and you say its remote it should mean REMOTE. If its a Hybrid position then LIST IT AS HYBRID. I applied for the job not because I want to relocate across the country for a $20 an hour job, I applied BECAUSE YOU SAID IT WAS REMOTE! Just got off a call it went like this Job: Can you relocate to Dallas Me: The job says its remote Job: Yea but we need you to be in remote in Dallas

This has resulted in highly irregular schedules and lots of early and late shifts (days that begin at 6 and end at 10 are not uncommon). In total I usually clock 30 hours a week, and 25 on a slow week. I was told that since it’s a holiday weekend, the schedule couldn’t be changed. I countered that I hadn’t even been scheduled yet, as schedules are only made 3 weeks in advance.…
