I’m a long-time r/antiwork member, and share the same frustrations as you guys in regards to deteriorating socioeconomic condition of the United States. Unfortunately, our growingly obsolete Constitution is simply incapable of handling issues like corporate lobbying, gerrymandering, and gun control. Like you, I’m sick of complaining and nothing actually getting done. That’s why I’m aiming for a realistic, material goal of ratifying a new Constitution by starting a liberal movement en masse to attempt to decide the presidency based on the promising us ratification. The subreddit is in it’s very very early days, but I hope it can become a discussion place for the kinds of values that should inform the new constitution, and the starting place for the next democratic revolution, and ACTUAL change. It’s here: r/New_Constitution with the tree background. Thanks

Stolen Vacation Time
So my workplace vacation policy is on an accrual system. And the pool of hours grows based on years worked. We work on 12 hour shifts and for a worker of 2-4 years you are to receive 10 days of vacation time, and the policy states 8 hours of vacation time is required for a day off. So 80 vacation hours a year accrued equals 10 days off. They changed the policy last October to be a mandatory 12 hours per vacation day but didn’t increase the accrual pool so now our 80 hours is only worth 6.67 days. I have to work 2 months to earn a day off. I’ve contacted the Plant Manager on the situation he said “the handbook will be changed to reflect the new policy” nothing has happened. The CEO himself came down for a Q&A with the “little people” and I asked him direct…
I guess the rest of the wage slaves in the world are just pieces of shit by this persons standards. This $350k high income, “successful career person…” More like posse of selfish fuckers making the wage of 10 people. Don’t you hate how corporate selfishness is labeled as “successful?”
Last Thursday I was taken by ambulance to the ER because my back went out and I was completely immobile. Ended up needing to be admitted due to a herniated disc and the pain with it, got out on Friday and have been in and out every other day since due to pain. The entire time my boss was texting me about how bad her back hurts from her massage and how she got sunburnt. I went into work today, and while going througg 230 emails she forwarded me an email from Friday morning, when I hadnt even gotten out of the hospital yet, telling me what to do with it and that i need to stay on top of it. My numbness then got worse, my husband took me back to the ER. When i let my boss know she was visibly mad that I was leaving. Later on,…
Despite being at risk of termination, I am exhausted from the constant negative attitude and behavior displayed by my bosses. It is demotivating and takes a toll on my well-being. While I am aware that HR is not a personal friend, what typically happens if I report my boss for verbal abuse?
I loved that time of my life

Towards the end of 5pm today, my manager caught me performing a task that was not assigned to me and belonged to another coworker. Although I executed it correctly, it was not within my job responsibilities and I have been doing it since January. Now, I am apprehensive about going to work tomorrow as I anticipate being reprimanded severely. While I acknowledge that what I did was inappropriate, I am worried about having to explain why I did not simply send an email to the appropriate person to handle the task instead of doing it myself. I am even considering not showing up to work anymore.
