Wondering what laws to look into this issue. Back story: by my employer our company starts our day at our company lay down for the site, which is about an 8 min walk. It’s tolerable but now they are moving the parking lot and now it will be a 20 min walk from the security turnstile. To add they don’t allow food on site either so you have to go near the turnstile to the lunch trailer or go to your car and they claim they don’t pay for the walk either (they give us 30min + 2 15 min breaks which we all mash for an hour anyway) TLDR: So in summary I’ll be spending atleast 80 min walking off the clock and i find it ridiculous. Ass crack of dawn to crush my soul
I gotta crawl out of bed once again at 4am, force feed myself, and go to a foundry to pick up heavy objects and move them to pallets for 8 hours. And I gotta do it 7 days this week. I need the money just so I can have a place to sleep for a few hours to go back to work and a car to take me to work, so my money is just to get me to go to work. Im 23, life is bleak. I just dont care anymore. Everyday I dread just waking up. When i was young i couldnt wait to be an adult, now id give anything to quit existing. Anyone feel the same?
The Sick Culture Of Impossible Standards

You produce more when you are nervous and or can be stressed to work beyond your natural speeds and reality. This is especially evident in the lower income fields. They want to take absolutely everything they can from you and then discard you or have you quit when you are no longer able to keep going. This is why bargaining power is so incredibly important. Immigration, foreign workers, etc.…

Resigned for an offer that got rescinded
So I’m in a pickle. I’ve had my current full-time office job about a year, it’s a niche field that I have no particular interest in so I’ve been constantly job hunting – I finally got an offer for a part-time job that, even though it was an obvious pay decrease due to being part-time, I was going to take it because it was more aligned with the field I want more experience in. I worked out a start date with the new job that would have been about a month from now. So I told my boss that I would be leaving the company to pursue other interests, but that I really appreciated everything about working for him, he also said it was a pleasure working with me and bummed to see me go but he understands that’s just how business is. We worked out that I would help…
