What is considered an acceptable driving record?

I've been offered a job that I'm really excited about. The job description states that an “acceptable driving record” is required. I have a reckless driving conviction, the offense date was in December 2019 (3 years and 4 months ago), but the case wasn't settled until June 2020 (2 years and 11 months ago). Otherwise I have a clean record. I'm 34 years old. I've heard that three years is the magic number for background checks… Would that be three years from the date of the offense? Or three years from the date of the conviction?

Retail job greatly reduced my hours

So now I'm sort of in panick mode scrambling to find another job. I have an interview tomorrow. That employer got back to me pretty fast so fingers crossed. Current job has me down to just a single day a week. I already didn't want to be here but after this, I now have even less motivation to do a halfway decent job. Should I just barely do anything at all? As you all probably know, typically when a company does this, they're trying to get you to quit so they don't have to pay unemployment. Mostly just needed to vent. Thank you all in advance for responses and just listening.

I need help with my SO’s work ethic problem – long post

I have been in this sub for a while. I currently work an office job. I completely agree with all the dumb shit that is required from work and am in no means pro-work. But I have to in order to pay the bills. I could never just be unemployed by choice. Now, my SO is another story. He has the most absolutely worst work ethic. Long story short, he’s sat on his computer for the last two years and wasted his days getting high and playing video games while I pay all my bills and for his as well. He has mental health issues and I understand. But it’s gotten to the point where I cannot my financially support both of us. I’m drowning in debt and can’t cover everything on my own anymore. He’s recently went back to a food service job (he has no college education or…

Principal Telling People They Should Be “Comfortable Enough to Fart Around Each Other”

I just need the world to hear this because it’s insane. For context: I work for a corporation that has MOUs with title I schools to supply a “highly qualified and trained educator” at an incredibly dysfunctional school. Recently, a conflict happened between the principal and several staff members. We are forced to have early before school meetings tues-thurs. Originally, Thursdays were for book studies to discuss ways we can use new teaching techniques. She has a lot of issues. She does not exhibit a lot of leadership qualities and has intense mood swings where she will roll her eyes, sigh loudly, and cuss people out. I’ve been told by her multiple times “not to take notes” in our one one one meetings and have had my own issues where she will tell me one thing, I will do that thing, and it will be not good enough and she…

Interviewed on Tuesday for what I thought would be a great position at a small, but reputable, biomedical company.

The position was a dynamic front office administrator that would include marketing and recruiting. The first half of the interview went very well with the current program coordinator. He did disclose that he had only joined the staff four months ago along with half of the current staff. So, most of the employees had only been there for four months. During the second half of the interview I spoke with the founder and CEO. That mostly went great until he asked me about compensation. The pay was listed as “up to $22/hr”. I asked for $22 because with cost of living I can’t afford to live on less than that. He said that he liked to start his employees on the lower end. I currently have a part-time job, so I said that could work with my other passive income. The real kicker is that then he asked me about…
