So I posted before that I got denied for a job promotion. There were reasons, but big reason was that I didn't have experience in a particular program (that's literally just a Microsoft product but with more features). Today, I got an mass sent email asking us if we were comfortable with that same program because they're looking to resource us to projects. Things have happened big time in our company and they're scrambling to put people in places. When I saw the program mentioned (and only mentioned), I INSTANTLY knew. “This is that exact job I got denied for. They're going to put anybody in this job now, at least for six months.” These assholes put me and others through a whole song and dance, made us wait months to hear a rejection, find out they hired an outside person… And NOW it turns out ANYONE can do the…

Thinking about quitting without notice
I already feel guilty. I’m a manager for a small group home. On call 24/7. Shit pay. Two staff down for unknown amount of time. No one in the company will work at the house because of violent behaviors (I get that but bad news for me). This means 7 days a week for me and some doubles thrown in. I feel like I’m going to mentally break because it’s just too much responsibility. I have a new job lined up that I’ll start at the end of the May. I really want to just quit my current job and float on my remaining pay until I start. I feel bad leaving the remaining staff in a bad spot. Ughhhhhhhhh Society
Fed Up Daycare Worker…
Ok, I work at a daycare and at this point I'm wondering if I'll find a daycare that follows all of their policies for everyone. Children and staff, no exceptions, and no favoritism… every child in my classroom is sick. Coughing and terrible runny noses with yellow or green snot… it's in the policy that children that have any cold symptoms can't come into the center until they have been to the doctor and have a doctor's note… but that doesn't happen… but then the staff gets sick and we are forced to go to the doctor and can't come back to work without a note. I had the stomach bug a few months ago THAT I GOT FROM KIDS IN MY CLASSROOM! And was forced to go to the doctor feeling like I was going to throw up the entire time (yall I had to bring a mini trash…
then i told her that this is a matter of life, not a game and that she made me wait for a month previously… she made the transaction. i thought you would appreciate, thanks for your time
Two weeks ago my employer gave us a WARN notice due to a possible layoff. The company might be closing unless there's a buyer. We're everywhere on local social media. News reporters and journalists have come to our town to talk about the company potentially closing and the impact that it's going to have in our community. Our state governor is aware, senators are aware, as well as representatives of other state organizations. I can't go to the gas station without having the cashier ask me about the company. It's weird to have this kind of attention and especially for something so sad. It's almost depressing to have to show to work and to still be working on upcoming projects. Upper management is based on another country and to some degree we feel neglected. I really really want to post the articles that have been writing about us, but I…
Your life isn’t yours.
95% of the world's population don't own their own life. Your life, otherwise known as your time, the precious seconds we have on this fleeting rock in space, belong to the 1%-ers. You, me, our parents, our siblings, our children, are nothing but labor ants feeding the billionaires until we keel over and die. The same billionaires who already have more than they could ever use/consume in multiple lifetimes. The bane of humanity and it's greatest sin… extreme greed.

title. went in for a review and asked for a review as I’d been there 8mo and every other full-time employee (all of them has been with the company 6mo) has been give raises ranging from 8-30% in the last month. as the manager of my department, their salaries had all outpaced mine with the raises (they are all in a different department however) so I decided to ask for 20% hoping for at least 10.85%. I am salaried at $58,500 a year. They first informed me that effective this current pay period I would be moved to an hourly worker per their lawyer’s recommendation that ALL employees be hourly. I asked if the other two department managers were being moved to hourly and they said they weren’t as they were “operations”, whatever that means. I first told them that I was very against the switch and that I had…
