He genuinely thinks it is a fair trade because I close on Tuesday and he opens on Saturday so that is considered an upgrade(?? lol) But not only does this man do the scheduling and post it 3 weeks in advance….but he dare tries to guilt me by saying it’s for his kids’ birthday. Spoiler: I will not be trading due to his terrible planning

With AGI being possibly only a decade away or less, should we be concerned that our only leverage as citizens (our labor) is vanishing before our eyes? And that we might end up with even less control over our democracy if we don’t reform it while we still have leverage?

I currently work at Olive Garden making $12/hour. I was hired for another position where I made more and then transferred to another position. I hate my job and it takes a physical and mental toll on me. I called out all last weekend and want to cry at the idea of going in today. I'm currently waiting to hear back from multiple other employers but don't have anything lined up yet. I make extra but inconsistent income from freelance work which brings in about $300/week, more than I make in a paycheck at my other job and enough to keep me afloat. Should I just not go in?

I applied for the night shift position and now that I’ve got the job they have been having me work a different schedule every week with some varying day shifts. I’ve already told them I can only work the nights as I need to get a second job part time for the mornings. What more can I do?
