This is a job I am fully qualified for, in a field I have worked in for the last few years. I thought the interview went well, I answered their questions easily and had a lot of context, maybe stuttered twice. The real kicker is that I’ve worked at this exact place before, just in a different position. I left on good terms, etc. I just have to laugh at this point

Heres how it would work if Democrats represented their voters Republicans: We're going to default if you don't meet our demands! Democrats: Great! Crashing our economy will give our younger population a chance to buy houses, and cool off our overheated stock market. No debt means our military gets downsized back to reality, and most of our voterbase has been fucked out of qualifying for government assistance anyways even if they need it. Our consitituants have nothing to lose, and this “crisis” is a win win across party lines Both parties then have a dance party, rejoycing over their newfound solution to so many issues across party lines. Instead dems “concede” with a 2 year cap on non militiary discretionary spending? What non military spending? Ovet half our discretionary budget is already fucking military spending. If our military is so useful why haven't we won the war in Ukraine yet?…
I should start by saying that I do really love what I do! I do maintenance for a very high end short term vacation rental company. I joined on about 7 months ago, and since coming on board have taken on a lot more responsibility than I initially was told I would have to. I’m not upset about this, I like my work and my peers, but I did ask for a review and a raise. Finally the day comes where I get my review (Was told I should be getting one after 90 days, but took 6 months.) and I ask for a raise, in which both my supervisor and my manager say that shouldn’t be a problem but need to confirm it with the GM. A couple days go by and finally they tell me that now I need to go speak with GM, so I do. GM…
My boss is very frugal.
I live in a pretty small town so finding a job has been difficult to say the least. I'm currently working at a Lil Caesars until I can find something better. The hours are great because we're severely understaffed, the pay is terrible, and we don't get breaks. However, the most miserable part of this job for me is the working conditions. The restaurant is very small and I work in the back making pizzas right next to a giant oven that is over 400 degrees. The owner, is a very stingy man. The AC is off and we are not allowed to touch the thermostat under any circumstances. I live in the south where it gets very hot during the summer, yet it feels much better outside than it does inside of my workplace. I'm constantly dripping with sweat. There have been quite a few people who have gotten…

Has anyone read this article yet?
not sure if this is the right place to post this, sorry!! I work at a dunkin/baskin robbins in FL and am quitting very soon. for legal reasons, if I hypothetically filled a box with syrups and frozen foods, clocked out, and walked out to my car with the box (which cameras would see), would they take money out of my paycheck for it? I wouldn't be taking actual money, just product (under $50 worth).
3 weeks left
Hi. I’m a high school student, working part time as a cashier at the supermarket. I quit my job about two months ago, and now have 3 weeks left, because the insisted I’d stay for longer than the legally required time. I’m going to tell you a bit about how borderline exploitive these multinational corporations are towards minors. HOURS When I started my job in February, the contracted stated that I would be working for 8 hours per week. This is what we agreed on. My hours now vary between 17 and 12 hours!!!! I’ve stated many times before that this is not what we agreed on, but when I tell that to my manager she says they’re short staffed. This is true, but this shouldn’t be an excuse to not listen to my contract. VACATION DAYS Since I’m a minor, and still in school, they are required by law…
I get some of what he’s saying in that you could like what you do, but that doesn’t always pay the bills.
