Title pretty much says it all. Super frustrating because when I originally applied for the position it was a remote job but they asked me to come into the office once they found out I live 20 minutes away. Now I live 30 minutes away and I’m trying to do a hybrid style and come into the office twice a week which they are not ok with while at the same time they are actively still hiring hiring strictly remote workers from other states for the same position. What should I tell him?

With all the news of aliens lately…
Has anyone considered this?
Has there ever been any consideration towards “crowdfunding” towards becoming actually work-free? Majority of the population here I assume hates their current job, but feels stuck due to bills, housing insecurity, etc. With 2.6 million people in this sub I’m wondering why it hasn’t been considered to redistribute wealth so people can leave their current situations in pursuit of passion instead? Or at least a less burdensome way to make a living. I know for me, I have no desire to be Jeff Bezos or climb a corporate ladder. I just want to be at peace before I (maybe) retire at 65. It’s admirable and necessary to create conversation about the current market and labor situation, but ultimately there’s no change to be made if the choice we’re facing is poverty or exploitation. I for one would be happy to send a few dollars to help someone not feel the…
Just a small rant… My department is extremely understaffed. Due to this, we have people calling out pretty much daily due to low morale. When people call out, it puts more work on the rest of the team. When my boss feels this workload is too high, he cuts our lunches from 1 Hour down to 30 minutes. This dude really thinks the best way to keep his employee's morale high, is to cut their only break in half when we get slammed with work. BTW, we don't get 15 min breaks here either. “You get MORE work, and LESS of a break, a perfect solution” -My Boss
Sure, that’s plenty of notice…
So everyone in my store this month is off one week where they are not allowed to work or pick up hours for… some reason. Not just me. This is odd i don't understand this at all. My store has been laying off and cutting hours like crazy primarily focusing on well performing groups, long term employees, and management staff, while also lying that summer is our least busy time when the past years i've worked there no the hell it isn't, its busy AF during the summer. So idk whats going on.
I work in an open floor plan office and the coworker mentioned sits right behind me. Everyday he comes in and vapes so much that the air is slightly foggy. I don’t know much about vapes so besides for any potential health risks I may not know about from the second hand smoke, the smell of it is nauseating. Thing is though, I can’t go to HR about it because he’s the HR director. I can’t ask to switch desks because there are no available ones and if I go to the higher ups it’s pretty obvious it’s coming from me since we sit closest to each other. I haven’t tried asking him to stop because he gets very defensive about how it’s not bad and he needs it. I also would have no idea how to bring it up. Any ideas I haven’t thought of would be much appreciated.
I (27F) worked for the same company for over a year and then switched clinics. When I switched…I deeply regretted it. I had to BEG someone to train me, because no one would let me do anything at all without training…but no one would take time to train me?? So I sat there on my computer doing whatever day after day and was ignored while everyone else talked amongst themselves. Everyone else being 3 other women. There were 4 of us in a dark (they kept the lights off because it gave one of the girls headaches) little check in desk cube with no windows. I was the new 4th addition. One coworker who we will call “H” made it very obvious she was upset that I was there…for whatever reason. She spoke maybe a few sentences to me the entire week I was there, would not look at me…
