I don’t know who needs to hear this or if this will serve just a reminder but until at least 3 day weekends are the new normal. Keep demanding better, keep quiet quitting and keep asking for more. Keep holding the line.

Why longhorn will lie to you
For context, originally applied for a dishwasher spot nothing too brutal, just something to cover bills. They had me do 3 interviews, which to be honest should of been a red flag but I was desperate for work. So after all the interviews, I was told I was hired. I was supposed to begin this past Tuesday. So on Saturday I was told that I would receive the onboarding link, never got it, Sunday morning I call seeing how my alleged new job was very slow. Management said I'd get a call back, never happened called Monday and Tuesday still no onboarding or a time to start. Now I love how they were so willing to lie and just ignore me as if I was a ex boyfriend trying to call. It's pathetic that they feel the need to get peoples hopes up and then ignore them. Anyone else have…
Molded Bread
So I am a temp worker (thankfully I have already been hired at a different company) at a bread factory. I work in shipping putting on/taking off stacks of bread from semi trailers. There is so much waste that gets thrown away because it is too close to the best by date before getting shipped out, but also plenty that has been sitting long enough it has become molded that also gets thrown out. I get that this is part of the business (even tho is shouldn’t be to this kind of extent – the wastefulness is crazy) but what I’m getting at is they have us employees just dumping/throwing all of this bread into one of the trailers they have set in a dock. It is an enclosed space where the bread ends up sitting and piling up for even longer until it is full after a week and…
Sacrifice dream job
I fucking hate working in a factory setting, that’s all I’ve ever been working in is a damn factory, wether it was when I was welding or laminating or working with fiberglass it feels all the damn same, I just want to work the job that I feel most comfortable and am qualified most for but fuck what I want though right?
Questions about HR
Sooooo… long story short, I was scheduled to have 4 days off. So I went out of town to stay with my boyfriend. But while I was gone, I got a text this morning from my manager at 9:30 that our schedules were changed. Of course mine got changed too. I was now needed to work 12-6 today and tomorrow. But that’s only 3-3.5 hours notice. But our policy is 24 hour notice. Should I call HR about this? Or is there something else I should do first? I’m only 19 and have no idea how to go about this, but I’m a so FUMING. I refuse to let a manager get away with this kind of thing! Any advice would be amazing right now!
