The recent wins at UPS will no doubt inspire other workers and provide a practical way foward for their liberation. However I do take issue with how unions from Teamsters to the SAG-WGA don't leave many channels for public feedback. I can't even join the Teamsters if I'm unemployed. And revolutionaries of past have made criticisms like this. Rudolf Rocker wrote an entire chapter in Anarcho-Syndaclism- Theory and Practice about how trade unions didn't think and beyond the needs of their own, especially negating to engage and unite with the unemployed. Not at all trying to cancel UPS workers, as the issue is beyond them. In fact, we should look to organize the student debt strike for the end of August 2023 that inherently incorporates both the employed and unemployed under one campaign.

Being hospitalized would be better
I’ve recently realized I work in a toxic place. There was good and bad before but recent events have made it clear, my employer doesn’t care about the well-being of its employees. I’m salaried, which means that I work until I’m done, not until a set time. Yes salaried work can be great and has some good security. But lately, I’ve been working into the late hours of the night and starting as soon as I roll over in bed. We’re talking between 55 and 80 hours a week. I started telling my employer I had more work than I could handle, pointing to a number of factors that were outside of my control and served to drastically increase my work. The answer I got was I should make a pitch about why I had too much work and where my work could go. Weeks of back and forth on…
People are fucking dumb and will watch anything as long as it has a good title, thumbnail and premise. I'm fucking sick of being broke and a slave to this shit system. Anyone have any luck creating passive income through things like youtube etc? I'm literally about to kill myself if i can't escape this hell.
my gf made this for someone today lol
I work 7-3 at front desk at a hotel and after some employees arrived to work wearing ripped jeans and a random shirt. We have had a meeting telling everyone to start coming into their shift being in uniform with name tag except on Fridays (casual jeans are acceptable). Is this legal?
Did I experience hiring discrimination?
Me and a few of my coworkers applied to the same job a few months ago which they are still hiring and advertising for today. I scrolled down on their LinkedIn page to see that many of the people they hired for the role months ago or were recently hired were also mostly white and female. Was I discriminated against? They also gave interview feedback and said i was not “passionate enough” even thought i spent hours prepping and completed all 4 stages only to be rejected in the end. The coworkers that were also rejected were also given similar interview feedback, that they were “not passionate enough” (they are part of the ethnic minority groups) and those that were hired were all white. Is this legal? I was reminded of this situation today after seeing another white female being hired by them so i got suspicious and looked into…
Is there a Reddit for shitty employers?
My former employer fired me because I couldn’t accommodate random shifts here and there for them. They’ve now refused to pay myself, my step son and another employee. I’ve gone through the typical channels small claims labour board etc but is there a database of shitty employees I can put her on?
