I used their after-hours locker system, due to them closing before I got there. They would provide me the locker number and the pin code to unlock it, via SMS, yet at the same time, they were updating their computer systems, and sometimes the code they gave me, just didn't work. FYI the keypad lock they used for their lockers is a Mini K10 PIN Lock. I spoke to one of the workers and told them what was going on (I think he was pretty new) and he gave me the master code to unlock the lockers (all of them) in the event, the code they provided to me, didn't work. She has always picked on me for being too quiet. I don’t know what else she wants from me, I sit at my desk and I do my job and when there’s something to be done around the office I do it. But because she doesn’t see me flying all over the place like the other woman that used to work there and liked to play “office mom”, she assumes I’m not doing anything. She literally said “you need to be more active”. When I said its just my personality to sit quietly and I can’t change my personality, she said yes I can cause she used to be quiet too but she changed for the job. I used to work a low paying job. Now I make close to 6 figures. The common theme in both jobs is how the older generation is full of lazy rats and snitches who have no problem throwing you under the bus to make themselves look better. You can do nothing wrong. They'll make something up to deflect attention away from them. It's gotten to the point where I have pure hatred for the older generation because I grew up with the idea that the older generation should help the younger generation for a better society. But it's been the complete opposite. It's been all selfishness and backstabbing.
I started running printing presses at 13 years old. I have yet to meet any other pressman. Have met teachers, pharmacists, auto mechanics, nurses, doctors, lawyers, computer engineers, welders, strippera, roofers, painters, bankers, dermatologists… You get the idea. Nobody seems to know how to run a printing press though. Every business selling a product wants their product to have images for marketing. That requires someone who knows how to run a printing press. Why are pressman being treated as if they are working the register at Staples instead of being paid properly?
Where I work tracks what websites I go to, which is really frustrating. Especially since I don’t even go on it until my days workload is finished. I work in fraud at a bank, and I go in and do our usual morning activities, work on what I need to that day, and once I’m done with that, I just answer the phone as calls are sent to me. That leaves me with a ton of free time if I have a light workload, and I just want to be able to browse the internet when I have literally nothing else to do. I got in trouble once for this (and I was just reading about rocket ships on Wikipedia), and when I told them I was bored, management said to go and do somebody else’s job once I’m done. Obviously I’m not doing that, I don’t have enough time…

Does anyone else feel like the current way of hiring (apply online, recruiter meets, Microsoft Teams interview, endless texts and emails) is basically just stupid and inneficent? With so much talk of being ghosted by employers (happened to me a few times), are they actually just fucking up?
