I applied for a Patient Access Representative position at a local hospital during a job fair. Despite my qualifications, the whole experience was depressing. The communication was almost no existent. Weeks passed before I got an interview and then silence, despite them telling me I'll get an email at least. After futile attempts at contacting HR, I discovered through the applicant portal that I was no longer being considered. No explanation or feedback was given whatsoever…. To add insult to injury, the hospital re-posted the job. It suggests they're struggling to find a suitable candidate, which is baffling given they rejected a candidate with relevant experience. They also had multiple openings, yet couldn't place one person, even though they're incredibly understaffed? Why reject a willing and experienced canidate, isn't it harder to find someone else??It makes no fucking sense. It seems securing a job within this hospital is based more…

Ok. I had a fender bender in a company box truck. I was done with my route and me and a trainee was heading back to the branch. We were estimated to return back at 2:27pm. We did good for the day. We ended up waiting in traffic at the light (long ass traffic) and I had my foot on the breaks. I ended up dozing off waiting for the traffic to move. I ended up having the truck roll bump into a car up in front after my coworker alerted me. I did the whole procedure and after all of that…I realized that this job is not guaranteed for me. Now the job I work is boots on the ground delivery and merchandising. I’m flat salary and it takes longer to finish when you do all the stores by yourself. Plus I’m spread out in the countryside. Just to give a brief description, I work in sales. So over the last few weeks, there has been a co-worker of mine committing fraud. Saying customers are paying one way, while in turn it’s not going through on the backend of things, it’s our other form of payment being processed. My manager, soon as he found out, let me and other employees know about this. That was 3 weeks ago at this time. At this point, my manager is also committing fraud by letting this go on. We’re under the assumption the higher ups know & they are going to let him cash out on the first fraudulent check next week, then let him. Just wanted to ask what you guys would do in this situation? Any and all advice is welcome. Will answer questions to the best of my ability as to not give too much away.

I switched my job and into a completely different career path. Even as a manager I was being paid less by a significant margin while handling 20+ people on the daily. Funny stories that my old previous boss loved to do to me. I remember being offered cakes and whatnot by co-workers and suddenly after the break, he told me that morally I am not allowed to eat the cake, honestly I was so shaken back by that comment that I didn't even respond to him. Later that day he told me again that I couldn't eat cake or any of the treats that the co-workers offered. You know what I kept eating those treats because why the hell not, he can't legally stop me, and if co-workers didn't mind that then why would I? I remember on so many occasions the boss always had a great plan and envisioned…

Has anybody else been running into this lately. I have been interviewing for positions over the past month and have had two now (2 interviews with the first role, 3 for the second) send me an email saying the position is no longer open but they’ll keep my information if it opens back up. Is this the new way to let people down without providing any context? Very frustrating and I can’t make sense of it.
